By far the best Japanese cuisine in Geneva! An authentic Japanese experience with truly passionate staff. A charming family-owned business that will forever be in my top 3 Genevan restaurants.

So go to the original would suggest a decent business lunch and definately reserve as full most of the time looking for better Sushi but... More

First, you definitely need to book a table in advance. In my opinion they serve the best Japanese food in Geneva. "Thon gras" sushi is highly recommended: it literally melts in your mouth. Temakis are also unbelievably good: unmatched seaweed cone and sashimi freshness. Note that it is expensive (paid 140CHF/person -only drank a beer). Also the place could be... More

Great japanese food in a tiny restaurant once called Yamakawa and founded by a japanese woman who pioneered japanese cuisine in Geneva in the 1980s. The owners of Kakinuma took it to another level - it's always full - so they recently opened a second restaurant a few blocks away.

I love this restaurant and it was always very complicated to book a table there but they just opened a new restaurant in Villereuse ! The quality of food is exceptional and the service is good. Would 100% recommend it.
