Excellent and another great restaurant if you are here on a long trip and don't want to work your way through half a pound of butter every evening. The food is very nicely done and there are some healthy options. Had delicious steamed dumplings followed...More

Very disappointed... I ordered a Shirashi with salmon and they served only 6 little pieces of salmon over a small amount of rice.. for 33 chf!!!!! The seaweed salade cost 12chf. The taste was ok and the service is friendly.

When you enter the restaurant, you have a strong feeling of a nice, little and nice Japanese restaurant. The staff is very nice and the old-fashioned music totally fit the atmosphere. However, when it comes to "authentic" food, I was really disappointed. The makis were...More

The restaurant was not very busy this evening. Therefore I was served quite quickly and the staff was very friendly. I liked the food, it was solid. You can chose all kinds of sushi and several dishes.

We came here for lunch wanting to try a new sushi place. The place looks a bit sketchy from the outside, which is not always a bad sign (could be a unexpectedly nice spot). Service was fine - no issues there. The food was average...More

People who don't know about Japanese cuisine think it's the best place. It is, at best, good. My guess is that originally, staff and or owners must have been Japanese, left, and new owners kept the standard. Thus, menu has some traditional dishes. If you...More

When I was living in Genève , I used to come to this restaurant almost 3 times a week. I always come here late night and the staff were nice to me to serve them as their last customer. I love their Pork Tonkatsu !

Fairly basic décor but a good selection of sushi and other Japanese food. Nice warm sake for a cold evening. Friendly service.

This is NOT the oldest Japanese restaurant in geneva the Yamakawa was the first to open for the visit of the Emperor many many years ago. Unfortunately Mrs Yamakawa died and her children sold the restaurant. Its been resold again since and is no way a good , its now called Kakinuma, 3 rue Henri-Blanvalet Eaux-Vives. The Fuji was owned by a couple Mme Japanese and Mr. Italian hence the restaurant down stairs, I took Italian lessons with Mme many years ago. I find the Fuji good at mid day and like most restaurants better value then in the evening which tend to be rip offs.
