It took quite an effort to reach this place but we felt it was totally worth it. We arrived on a lovely sunny day so could enjoy drinks on the terrace with stunning views of the mountains and glacier. We shared a cheese fondue for lunch, yummy and filling, just as a fondue ought to be. We didn't try anything... More

A little off the beaten track from Klein Matterhorn run but worth the effort to seek out on a sunny day. The food is limited but good, A drink stop soaking up the views around is worth the hefty charge. I don't think anyone could complain after the experience of a real Swiss Mountain refuge really out and away from... More

Honestly, I always feel far more inclined to leave a review, when something impresses me and I want to recommend it, but the "food" that was served here upset our stomach to an extent, that I feel its appropiate to leave a negative review this time. I see quite a few bad to neutral reviews mention the unrealistically high price... More

The prices are too high for the size and the quality of the plates. Poor cooking. The drinks were over prized and the coffee is not real coffee...

Gandegg is wonderful! Hidden from the piste, and with a bit of poleing required to get there, Gandegg is less busy than the average mountain restaurant, but those who make the effort are rewarded with great food in a stunning location, with views over glaciers and ice falls. Prices are also a little higher than average, but with neither mains... More

Nestled under the Klein-Matterhorn cable car route, this is a beautifully located restaurant above Zermatt with a 360 degree panorama. Sitting outside on sheepskin rugs with warm blankets the food arrives piping hot. And is delicious. Well worth the hike from the piste.

Warm welcoming, nice cosy restaurant, good food. The prices are high aligned with the altitude of the restaurant. Big need for improvement of sanitary installation

The location of this hut is already great: out of the way, from the main ski area, perched on 3030m on the edge, overlooking the Gorner glacier. Where very good traditional Swiss cuisine (mostly cheese oriented food) for skiers. If you sit out on the terrace, this is great if the setting is magical, if the weather keeps you inside,... More

From Hornli to Gandegg Hutte is about 4 hour, mostly all down hill as one would think. Located a 15 minute walk from Trockner Steg it has tremendous views of the Klein Matternhorn and the glaciers. It is a smaller hutte with a large balcony and warm, inviting dinning/sitting area inside. We arrived earlier than anticipated so had lunch on... More
