Real Swiss-Charm in the heart of Lausanne. Perfect spot for a Fondue! Friendly and efficient service and good portion of food.

The place is cosy and the waiters are very friendly. The charcuterie plate was OK, the viande seché and the two sorts of hams were boring (inexpensive supermarket quality), the Vaudois sausage on the fatty and salty side. The soup was OK, but also lacking...More

After delicious main course, I kept some space of dessert ‘Original Rum raisin St James’. The best I’ve ever tasted

We enjoyed this spot, popular w/locals + great service. Also had a medieval feel to the interior...recommended!

The restaurant locates direct at the traffic light. Recommended menu is Fondue and Deer Steak (Medium rare to rare which is fine for me). Staffs are really friendly.

Stepping into this tavern takes the visitor back to the 1700’s. The curved stone roof, the (steep) spiral staircase, the rondells, and the wooden benches. The wines are all Swiss and well worth your time. We arrived too late for lunch fondue, but it smelled...More

You definitely need to book ahead for a table here - it's a very small space, set in what feels like an old wine cellar. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and feels very Swiss. The food was amazing, we skipped starters as we'd read...More

We went to Pinte Besson specifically for the fondue, based primarily on TripAdvisor reviews. It was a good choice, because we really wanted a traditional fondue experience before leaving Switzerland, and this place delivers the tradition. The restaurant dates from around 1790, and it looks...More

Quaint old pub at rue d l'ale 4. Very friendly service - we only popped in for a quick drink late morning to rest our weary feet and were given a free platter of nibbles comprising salami, gherkins, bread! Pity we'd had a big breakfast...More

If you want to have some classic Swiss comfort food then go here. Good cheese fondue, really lovely Rosti dishes. Not too expensive (for Lausanne anyway). We went on a Thursday night and didn't need to book.
