The place is without doubt wonderful. The pastries also look wonderful. But what I sampled was not that good, and the prices are extremely high, although this is Zwitzerland and it's not their fault if their exchange rate is insane. I had a slice of a cake with pastry cream and berries and it was all right, neither bad nor... More

After a nice walk in beautiful Zurich we went for hot chocolate and wonderful cakes at Cafe Schober. We sat outside in the early spring weather and it was great. The taste of the hit chocolate is absolutely fantastic. Definitely worth a visit even though it is quite expensive even for Swiss standard.

Lovely cozy place, various rooms (I prefer the one on the top floor). Old style interior. A must is the hot chocolate, really delicious! Good pastries. Please note it gets often very busy and then it is not really quiet anymore and the service then gets a bit slow. However for me still one of the better options for coffee/chocolate... More

Visited the cafe in January of 2017. It was full of people and that's not a coincidense. We drank a great chocolate and the sweet was just great. It was a great experience and I would suggest it undoubtedly.

Visited September 2016 twice I had been to Cafe Schober in the 80s and remembered it fondly. The interiors just ekes "Old World". My son just relocated to Zurich and lives down the street on Niederdorfstrasse, so I was excited to visited Cafe Schober again. In fact, I found the ambience wonderful, and the food average. The croissants, hot chocolate,... More

I had a Sunday breakfast there with a friend. We enjoyed the visit very much. The interior is very lavish, but spacious and you can find your privacy. The breakfast menu is good and in reasonable prices. Definitely a place to come back to.

Absolutely love this place when it's all decked out for Christmas. Have visited for breakfast twice - second time we made sure we booked as it can be busy. The 'two eggs in a cup' breakfast is huge! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Also love the little shop in front.

It is a nice cafe with the best Hot Chocolate in Zurich, I didn't stay too long there. Here is very often crowded, you can queue, usually needn't to wait long. I will visit it again.

My partner and I were recommended this cafe whilst on a walking tour. We heard they did a good hot chocolate and it did not disappoint!! Make sure you get it with cream...amazing! They are pricey (7.50 for hc and 1.50 for cream) but definitely worth it. The food is really good too. I got a quiche which was delicious... More
