Having driven around for what felt like hours trying to find a place to eat we finally found this place. There were 6 of us and we were thankfully given a table, and we were so happy we found this place. The food was amazing and plentiful. The girl behind the bar was chatty and welcoming, and very hospitable. If... More

We were staying in Kelso and decided to visit this pub as local. Really nice local, cosy pub, lovely atmosphere, relaxed. Food excellent, good choice off the board of traditional and loca inspired dishes.everything beautifully presented and delicious!! Fish and chips great, chips very good, salmon really fresh, creme brulee very tasty!! We went back another night but the pub... More

We discovered this pub whilst walking in the area and went in for lunch. We were given a warm welcome and there was a real fire in the bar which was most welcome as it was below freezing outside. We gather it is under new management and we hope it does well. It has a friendly local atmosphere and a... More

A nice place to visit. Menu is varied, with good sized portions of honest food. Its a pity it is not supported by the local community . Ok its a little expensive but you get what you pay for these days. We have learned that after the festivities it will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. No custom....no Pub..be warned.

Average meal, visited earlier in the year and was not as good this visit. Service was efficient. Although there is a nice fire in the bar area the restaurant area was very cold, on both my visits.

Our local public house and restaurant has improved dramatically. Now under new management with a fresh choice of local beers and affordable pub food. Now we are made welcome, even the atmosphere has improved. Its is worth a visit you certainly won't be disappointed....

Disappointing. Menu was limited and can be best described as expensive pub grub. Would not visit again. If you liked chips with everything, you may be okay. Having looked at reviews, I was expecting so much more. I went for a Caeser salad, chicken goujons and croutons, which was alright but very overpriced. If you are looking for something more... More
