We, a friend of mine and myself, went to La Cubanita on a Sunday evening to try out the restaurant for the first time. It was very busy and we were glad that we reserved a table upfront. I was delighted to have someone with me who could speak Dutch and could translate everything for me since the waiters/waitresses did not seem to be able to explain the restaurant's concept in English, although, they are offering English/ German menus. After our first round, we were quite surprised how fast the food arrived even though the restaurant was still very busy and we expected long waiting times. When we finished the first round, we decided to order the second one, however, it turned out that this was not such a good idea, since we were quite hungry and it did not arrive as quick as the first round. Therefore, TIPP: when you receive the first two items of your previous round, make sure you already order the next ones, so you do not have to wait that long. It works :-) The food itself was surprisingly good. After reading the reviews online, I was not too sure what to expect but it was actually nice! A lot of choices, from vegetarian dishes to fish and meat or just 'normal' snacks. I believe everybody would be successful to manage finding something he/she likes! When looking at the service, I cannot say that it was an amazing service, however, it was satisfying, The waiters/waitresses all seemed to be very young (more like students having a part-time job) and were a little bit clumsy and not too attentive. They kept dropping cutlery and dishes. When they cleaned the tables from those, they also kept forgetting to bring new cutlery for which we also did not only have to ask once. Overall, they were all friendly and fast in approaching the guests if you asked for something. The atmosphere was okay. It felt like they are trying to squeeze as many guests in the restaurant as possible since there is not much space neither to sit nor on the tables themselves (for two people). We were sitting next to the soda machine and could barely move and in order to place the food on the small table we actually had to empty it from the menus and our drinks in order to have enough space to eat. All in all, it was a good dinner. Do not expect any luxury in any aspect of the service or the restaurant itself. It is very much a casual concept but if you do not set any expectations, you will be pleased with what you get :-)

We had dinner in La Cubanita Apeldoorn for the first time and we were satisfied. The tapas are good and the atmosphere is great: it's a colourful place with matching music. The staff is attentive and friendly. One major point though is that the toilets were very dirty and are obviously not regularly cleaned.

As soon as you enter this restaurant you see the -of course- Cuban influence; photos of Cuban street life, Che Guevara and so... It's fun that as a guest you are allowed to write messages on the walls. The food, tapas style, was surprisingly good, and they make quite good Mojito cocktails with Havana Club Rum! A good recommendation for some budget friendly tapas

The honor was below board. Mexican hamburger chain were a kind of chickencorns from a bag, this was also the case for the fried chicken pieces. Spare ribs were burned, shrimp in garlic had neither crack nor taste. Dishes came to the table, you always order 4 dishes but occasionally 1 dish came again. Have often given at la Cubanita in other cities, but this was not comparable. Downright bad food.

The plan was to eat here. Took a seat on a terrace full of dirty tables. Service comes to set the table or put clean cutlery on a dirty table. After asking if the table can be cleaned, you get the answer "I had already seen that, yes". Well, a mistake can happen, we thought, for the first round of cold dishes, we ordered via a lousy system on the telephone, but we never saw this. Next round, hot dishes, they have managed to find their way to the table, what you find on the plate is downright hopeless, a dry, tasteless piece of misery. I was asked if something had gone wrong with the orders as we have not yet seen the dishes from the first round, "I'm going to follow up on them" and the answer was that we have never seen her again, with or without cold dishes. Our decision was made, we are out of here. Fortunately, there was a restaurant around the corner that was worth the name restaurant. I will never step foot in here again, even if I get paid.

Rarely served such bad food. We were in the back. There you can hear the ping of the microwave so you know when your food is coming. Steak mega tough. Squid rings didn't even look like them. Never seen anything like it. The best was the bread with aioli. A waste of money. Don't say it fast but even the mcD is better

I have seen and tasted many La Cubanitas and have often been very satisfied. But this branch is by far the worst ever. Food tough, overcooked, poor service and very poor hygiene. Even the glass of Lipton ice tea was old and almost devoid of sparkle.

Nice restaurant, delicious food! The snacks were all very tasty, a delicious super fresh sandwich beforehand, the prawns and squid nice and tender (I rarely experience that). Because it was Tuesday, we could sit and eat as long as we wanted. It is understandable that this is more difficult to achieve during the weekend. All in all highly recommended!

As a regular visitor to restaurants in different price ranges, I am used to some. However, the food I was served tonight should not bear the name food. Later I also understood that there is actually no cooking at all but that the stuff is heated up. Started with a cold tapa, a vitelo tonato. Unbelievable how bad. The chicken with honey after was like a sponge and very pale. I could still write a page full but it really had nothing to do with food. Well the service went well although there were also a lot of dishes not delivered. In short, once but never again.

Cozy and cozy La Cubanita restaurant in Apeldoorn. Booking is easy and quick. The restaurant is relatively small, but nevertheless no "nuisance" from tables nearby. The tapas are delicious, the service is fast and friendly.

This was our first repeat visit since discovering La Cubanita a few years ago. Unfortunately, nothing has changed for the better. Most of the Tapas (and we tasted almost all dishes) wasn't up to the standard of nearby rivals. Some was downright bland. Though the decor was quirky and fun, we found the waiting to be under par. A constant switching of waitresses to our table and conflicting messages from each of them created inconsistency, confusion and delay. Following this, too much emphasis on blame was placed on us for a small misunderstanding (clearly due to their inconsistency and not our lack of attention), leading to an overall awkward experience in which we began to feel somewhat unwelcome and belittled. In my estimation, a thorough (re)training of the staff and a kitchen to match the vibrancy of the ambiance is essential before we ever consider another visit. There are far better Tapas restaurants just around the corner.

On a recent business trip, we struggled to find an open restaurant so came across La Cubanita by accident. Thank goodness! What a really nice experience! Restaurant is quirky and friendly. Food is ordered via notes attached to a clip on the table which the very friendly waiting staff collect as they pass. Good good selection of Tapas (one of the group was Spanish!). Very well cooked, well presented, lovely flavours. We were all glad the other restaurants were closed - had a really excellent meal!

Went here many times with friends and always recommend this place. If you like latin Cuban style music and feeling, you are def in the right place. Its very cozy and cute, great vibe and the food is good. Too bad the 'all you can eat tapas' is not in the weekend, but over all great! Lots of choice in tapas and everything tastes good! Always very busy, so you'll have to make reservations.
