We had reserved for 5 and on arrival secured a private table.From an extensive menu and with the help of illustrated menus, we selected out food choices from a smart pad.The food came at rapid pace, was freshly made and delicious. Although the temptation to overeat was great, we had to make sure we could accommodate the wide dessert selection at the end.

Surprisingly good

The three of us had a delicious meal. Food was well prepared and very tasty. The service was perfect, the table was cleared in a timely manner and new dishes were brought quickly. The only thing that was not so nice is that the order had to be placed via your own phone via a QR code. A bit confusing. A tablet on the table would be more convenient.

Service was perfect but the food could be a bit better especially the nigiri but when you order food it comes in 10 minutes and drinks in 3 minutes

Sad experience at Shabu which used to be really good.

I don't have it often but this was bad, we were 9 people. The drinks took a relatively long time. The chicken skewers were served raw, there was gunk (a kind of brown deposit) on the foam head of the beer. Several times the coke contained lemon residue from the previous order, they shrugged their shoulders and continued with their work. The manager was pointed out but we were unable to speak to him. Raw chicken can make you sick, so it was a strange spectacle and we felt we were not taken seriously. What a terribly unfortunate policy and a waste of the atmosphere it created and the money.

Disappointed this time

Disappointment for years. Been a customer for years, but this time it took much longer before we received the products at the table. Some dishes were not received at all. I asked the staff about this, but unfortunately they could not solve it. At checkout we once again indicated our disappointment, but the response was only: yes, yes.. It was not due to the crowds, the restaurant in Apeldoorn was only half full. Had expected some leniency to make up for it, unfortunately expected too much?! Can't get hold of anyone who talks about this either. Very unfortunate as a regular customer.

One of my favorite repeat dining when visiting this area. You will have two hours to make menu choices from sashimi / sushi to poke bowls / soups and varied prepared meats. Dessert is all you can eat from assorted candies to icecream (incl. soft serve) and cakes. The restaurant is located on Apeldoorn’s market square, which will undergo a major change soon which can compromise the view IF you are seated on that side of the restaurant. The parking can be done under the market square and usually plentiful. There is limited private parking behind the restaurant. The atmosphere is great and service is fast. You order using a tablet (4 orders per time per person in your group). After 10 minutes the next order round opens up again. It allows you to pace and enjoy your meal. My personal favorite was the tuna truffle. $$ (age 10+) All you can eat lunch €19 $$ (age 10+) All you can eat dinner €30

Delicious food, all you can eat

We love Shabu Shabu and the Apeldoorn restaurant did not disappoint - food was delicious! Well made, delicious sushi, good meat & fish choices, and the dessert bar was great w/ soft serve frozen yoghurt & ice cream, warm cakes and tarts, many sprinkles & candies. Only negative was that the staff seemed quite chaotic - we were sitting close to the kitchen and many staff members were looking confused, asking each other where the orders were to go, rushing back & forth. Was strange since they said the restaurant has been open for 7 yrs. Overall though it was delicious & great choice.

We went with family and made a reservation. That was nessecary because it was almost fully booked. Friendly staff and better food than most other restaurants using the similar concept. Ordering by tablet and quick delivery at the table.

Good sushi restaurant where you can order with an IPad if you have the 'all you can eat' option. There are a lot of different dishes (about 100) and the sushi is very good. The service is fast. Depending on where you are seated, you might be close to your neighbors. This is the only thing which is a downside. It is not spacious sometimes. I think this is only for the tables where 2 people can eat. We had a good time here anyways and would definitely recommend it.

Great Japanese Restaurant

I am huge fun of this particular restaurant :) You can have your privacy thanks to high seat backrests. And I love it. Moreover food is delicious and serve pretty quick. What do you need more then?

High quality - all you can eat.

All you can eat most of the times is cheap and fulfilling your need or crave for midiocor food. But this all you can eat japanese food is on another level. The food quality is amazing! (Especially the fish for the sushi) The service is fast and the staff is always there smiling and working hard. The price is more than fair. Each person picks 5 different dishes from the menu (tablet), and you can keep ordering each the 5th dish has arrived. The menu is rich with different kind of japanese food and on top of that you have all you can eat dessert area. These restaurant is perfect with or without kids, couples and groups. Go hungry and prepared to eat

Restaurant was recommended by B&B owner and was great. You order using a tablet and each guest choses five things from the menu, then repeats this five times. I am a big eater but only made it through three rounds. The food is excellent and the service is terrific. After you are done dessert is offered and there is so much to choose from I can imagine some guests going just for desert. Well worth a visit . Heartly recommend!

Good food and service, very cramped

Booked by phone. Arrived on Saturday evening, very busy. Shown to our table which was very small indeed and 40 cm from the tables on either side. Ridiculous! Impossible to have a conversation without being overheard as well as impossible not to hear your neighbours conversations. Table too small for glasses and food plates so we had to put the water bottle on the floor. The food and service were fine.order on a tablet, waiters bring the food to the table. Large choice of deserts.

It is the third time I visit it: consistent and recurrent quality. High variety of dishes, in general quite good quality. The price at the end between 30 and 40€ is in line with the country and the offering. The service, with ordering by pad, is quick enough.

The food is absolutely of a good standard of quality but because of the "system", it is not a quite place and one has either to be patient if you go for "à la carte" or join the mass that goes for the buffet.
