Sometimes you find a restaurant where everything just works. For us, this restaurant was like that. The restaurant is very cozy and the staff very friendly. The menu had quite a few unusual dishes and we will have to come back and try some more. Both the salad as well as the beef where very good. Another positive aspect is that you standard get some bread as appetizer and some tap water (no extra charge).
Nice detail is the "dobbelsteen" cheesecake our brownie, which is in between a full dessert and "just" a cookie with the coffee.

Warm welcome and passionate restaurant owners with an excellent French by the way.
We all know of many great cuisines but if you ever wonder how they ever came about then come to this restaurant as this may be the birthplace of an authentic bold Dutch cuisine. The Abricot dessert is a prime example of an audacious and yet sucesfull expérimentation.

Don Quichotte is a fantastic place to spend the evening. Kees and Lotte are super hospitable and you really feel like you are a guest in a cozy large living room.
My wife and I have eaten here regularly, with and without friends. From 1 to 6 courses, everything is possible for an incredibly good price, quality and quantity ratio. Suitable wines, tasty desserts (recommended are a few so-called 'stamps') and an always tasty menu. Highly recommended for the gourmet!

We were here for the first time on my birthday (with a reservation - highly recommended!). The decor and ambience are cozy and you feel like you're in a living room.
The owner and therefore the host, along with his wife and employees, are the best thing I've ever experienced as a host in a restaurant! Indescribably attentive, friendly, with plenty of time for each guest, never stressed or short-tempered. We talked a lot to each other, about the restaurant, the menu, our stay. To finish off, I ordered a dessert, which was brought to me for my birthday with a table fireworks display by all three of them; the moment itself was photographed by the charming owner with my cell phone.
The meal itself was amazing! My husband's beef fillet cubes were perfect and so tender that he'll probably be raving about it for weeks. My vegetarian (vegan) dish was an explosion of flavor! The spontaneously mixed cocktail was also excellent.
As we are often in Apeldoorn, we will definitely come back!

A restaurant where you are really seen, we were not used to this! Everything is possible and it's not like they want you gone asap. Ajam smoor was delicious and the tournedos were well cooked and tender. Friendly staff and good explanation of the dishes. I will definitely eat here more often! Oh yes, not unimportant; everything they make is fresh. Fresh fries, fresh desserts, so none of that frozen junk.

Delicious food, beautiful dishes and delicious wines, a very hospitable welcome and so did our dog! A cozy atmosphere, friendly and professional service. Menu choice also small possible... but of course choose the cheese cake regular size... it's delicious!

This restaurant is indeed a place for a casual evening out. You won't be rushed, the atmosphere is excellent and the service always has time for a chat and has a lot of knowledge of the dishes and wines. and they always have a plate with seasonal dishes. Like the other day, I don't like asparagus but I had tried the asparagus soup then, let me put it this way that I see asparagus soup next time that I will have it again.
We regularly come there from Rotterdam especially.

Had a fantastic meal at Don Quichotte. Brought along by friends who already knew it. Small, intimate and cozy. Excellent menu and excellent wines and then you still have to eat. Medium rare here really means medium rare, regardless of the dish. Absolutely recommended without any frills; just honest and delicious food and sitting!

This restaurant is great! The service was excellent and so kind! We come from Germany and even had the chance to be served in our mother tongue. Also the Food was outstanding! The meat melts on your tongue and you often get the chance to taste other dishes for free! We will definitely come back!

We were with four and celebrating our recently obtained Msc. degrees. We had reservations at 19:00 but were a little early. No problem at all. Although the restaurants interior was appealing we decided to be seated outside at the front terrace. Unfortunately it started raining, the staff offered us a table at the back garden, nicely tucked away under sunscreens. So we stayed dry :-) We all enjoyed the three course menu, including two bottles of merlot. As we were all were wearing graduation caps the restaurant came up with a surprise desert for the four of us, including fireworks. A very pleasant surprise, which was greatly appreciated. We had a very good time dining at Don Quichotte and were satisfied to our teeth. To us this restaurant has graduated as well :-)
