Had a chance to get a late brunch here after arriving on an early flight into Amsterdam. The restaurant is very busy, but they squeezed me into an upstairs table just before switching to the brunch menu. The service is great, great people watching and very good food. Excellent!

Excellent and very charming service. Dishes are not only a delight for the mouth, with fresh homegrown ingredients, but also lovely presented . We definitely recommend the scrambled eggs on sourdough bread and the homemade cakes. Both have been a blast and an excellent way to start the day. We also appreciated the location, not too far from the center but also in a quiet street where you can enjoy eating outside. Reservation is recommended due to the size of the place. One of the best and freshest brunches you can get in Amsterdam.

There are not so many tables and it is better to reserve, if you are lucky and could enjoy their breakfast, you can only applause the choice of fresh jam, tasty toast, choice of tea. French Breakfast, eggs Bénédictin , you name it they have it. Super friendly personnel, fast service.
Will come back !

A hidden gem in one of the more quiet side streets of the buzzling Kalverstraat. The location was beautiful, intimate and cozy. We decided to go for savory high tea version. You could choose a pot of tea for two (really enjoyed Les Invités). We had a soup and a variation of different sandwiches and a quiche (which was eggy, somewhat fluffy - just divine). It was a rollercoaster ride of different flavors. The staff was warm and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed.

We opted to have lunch rather than high tea at this small restaurant. We initially had soup, cheese toast and beans on crisp breads.
This food was delicious but the Mississippi Mud pie was not to our liking.
Staff were very friendly and service was good.
Unlike everywhere else in Amsterdam, this restaurant wants payment in cash and doesn't take credit cards. We also noticed an arithmetic error in our hand written bill which was corrected when we pointed out.
We would go back.

Came across this beautiful cafe on our last day in Amsterdam where we had a delicious breakfast. The food was so good we came back for lunch! Lunch was just as tasty as were the cakes. The cafe has it's own gardens where they use ingredients from it in their food. Really friendly staff make the whole place a wonderful experience.

A most friendly host welcomed us as old friends at this lovely establishment, middle in the hussle and bussle of the city center. You wouldn't have guessed to find such a nice quiet place. The ingredients are all fresh and grown in their own garden! You can definitely taste this in the dishes. The menu is excellent and the assortment of teas are beautiful. No alcohol servings here. The establishment is also known for their pastries and high tea, but we were too satisfied. We shall definitely come back to have a high tea and some pastries! A beautiful lovely place, worth to visit 💯

The ingredients is very good so everything turned out great! Their vegetables is so crisp, no kidding. We just wish that they don’t put a lot of herb in the cakes. For our preference, herbs and spices should only be in food, not sweets. Tables and chairs are quite small.

We saw the reviews and figured we would give it a try. It took a while to locate the restaurant, but showed up right when it was opening. By 9:45, the entire restaurant was full. The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the eggs Benedict was nice a fresh and a fantastic way to start the day. Definitely worth a visit but be prepared to use euro as only limited payment options exist.

Eventho the menu writes clearly what every dish is, it was hard to imagine what to eat or how the flavors would be combined. The dishes are delicate dishes, unique and the one with PEAS AND PARMSANE cheese was delicious, super tasty and HEALTHY. The lettuce even was nicely seasoned and crunchy. Would come here again!

This quaint restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam offers a great breakfast. It's a bit more expensive, but the fresh and very good ingredients justify it. The service is also very attentive. In short, a place to relax and enjoy.

Amazing cafe, food was so tasty with a great interior and vibe. Staff were amazing specifically a certain male waiter who was so bubbly and welcoming, sadly didn’t get his name. Will definitely be returning next time I visit, fabulous!

Gartine is a hidden gem in the heart of Amsterdam, perfect for breakfast, lunch, or brunch.
Our Saturday lunch, with a reservation, was nothing short of fantastic! The attentive service added a personal touch, and each dish reflected the care and love put into its preparation.
The freshness and tastiness of the food were undeniable. The intimate size of the place makes reservations advisable, but discovering this charming spot was pure luck. I'll definitely be returning for more delightful experiences. And, a pro tip – save room for dessert; their cakes are a must-try

I was so looking forward to eating here but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.
It is dark and cramped but I quite liked the place. The staff were cheerful and friendly. Because we hadn’t booked we had to sit upstairs. The steps are steep and you are next to the toilets. To avoid this I would recommend you book.
Positives: coffee was great and my partner had the scrambled eggs with extra bacon which he enjoyed
Negatives: I ordered eggs Benedict with extra bacon. When it first came I took a photo as it looked fab. Unfortunately the eggs were cold. The waitress asked if everything was ok and I informed her about the eggs. She was very apologetic and took the plate away immediately. So far so impressed. That is until the replacement was given. Bear in mind I had literally had two mouthfuls from my breakfast. What came back from the kitchen was a tiny portion with two thirds of a slice of bacon and instead of a bed of spinach with a few iceberg leaves mixed in (no I don’t know why but ok) if was just iceberg. I called the waitress back and asked for a complete replacement as per the original dish just with hot eggs. What came back wasn’t but by this time I was fed up….not literally obviously!
Both the Chef and the server need to ensure this doesn’t happen to anyone else. Full disclosure I am a Chef and if I tried that on with any of my customers my Front of House staff would not let it go out to the customer. And rightly so.
They didn’t charge for the coffee as compensation. We obviously won’t be returning. The photos show the 1st and 3rd plate. I was so shocked by the 2nd I didn’t take a photo!

Amazing hidden gem located down an alley. Don’t look up for a sign…it’s on the window. Cozy little place that has about 8 tables. We we’re lucky to walk in at 10:30am without a reservation for the two of us. They are so kind and welcoming…you feel like you’re in someone’s home. We had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and the sourdough toast with beefeater cheese and homemade chutney. So amazing! The food was delicious and fresh. I love that their ingredients come from their garden and are locally sourced. Also had a jasmine tea and macchiato. Everything was wonderful! I would highly recommend and suggest reservations.
