Visited on a Tuesday night, despite no booking we were greeted and seated promoted. We ordered vegetarian momo, red bean masala and vegetarian noodles. All were delicious and good sized portions, would highly recommend

We were looking for a restaurant on a Sunday night in early April. This small restaurant seemed to have been busy enough so we asked for a table and were seated upstairs with a view down onto the 6 or so tables below. Service was efficient and business was brisk. I had corn soup and another dish with hot chili... More

The food at the restaurant was quite good. We've tried various meals and everything was tasty. The service could be better though.

Found the restaurant by accident and even thought the restaurant signt was broken, decided to try it. Found that the food was very good. Took Khamba beef, chicken sizzly and curry beef potatoes. We were three but food was enough for atleast four - ravintolan kyltti on rikki, joten se saattaa vaikuttaa epämääräiseltä, kuitenkin ruoka oli oikein hyvää ja ravintolakun... More

My husband and I went here multiple times during our April 2017 trip to Amsterdam. The food is fresh and delicious and also vegetarian friendly which is important to me! Service is fast and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. Serving size is just right. Highly recommend!

Visited this place last weekend, ordered from a set menu and was very pleased with the whole experience. The staff were friendly and warm and the food was all really tasty. Would happily eat here again when next in Amsterdam.

Went for dinner, place is extremely busy due to location. Had slice dumpling soup as entree which was excellent. Main dish khamba beef was way too oily and didn't have too much taste. Service was friendly and fast.

Stumbled across this place on a rainy night in Amsterdam. The service was very good and the food was excellent. All main dishes come with a large bowl of rice. The prices were also great considering it is in a tourist part of Amsterdam. Would certainly revisit when next in town.

Thank Ian Q

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
