Nielsen is a no nonsense quality spot in the 9 Streets. While the decor might not be as trendy as its location, the food is very nice and varied.

Went here after it was recommended in a guide book. Food and service were great and it was easy to locate.

A very good American breakfast. Very fast service. The assortment of fruit on the plate was good when you order the breakfast special. Pleasant surroundings.

Stumbled on this as in same street as brothers apt. We all had lunch. The omelettes are fantastic as are the bacon and eggs! All the food looks great and the freshest croissant I have ever had. The staff are the friendliest you will ever meet. Give it a go!

Love this place. The chef kept producing these artistic heaps of food to all the tables. So delicious. My salad was heaped with goodies; grilled mushrooms, avocados, bacon, the tasty dressing. Love the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Completely crammed place with almost no space to move. Tables stand so close to each other that you participate in a next table's conversation whether you like it or not. Coffee served was boiling hot and we had to wait ages for the waiter. The staff was also not customer friendly, almost like they don't care if a customer is... More

We had breakfast here twice while staying at Hotel Pulitzer around the corner. It would have been three times but it's closed on Mondays! The omelettes are delicious and the 'breakfast' with eggs, toast, fresh fruit salad, etc. is excellent value. We sat upstairs surrounded by paintings of pigs which we loved! and looking out the window at the world... More

Visited the cafe for lunch, we ordered some sandwiches and all of them were delicious. Definitely we will visit it again when we are in Amsterdam.

Always good to have lunch at Nielsen. I love the coffee and sweets, but also lunches (dagmenu!) are good.
