I went to this restaurant once and I found it a nice place to have dinner. The staff is really nice and they do all their best to serve the dinner well. The food is really nice and I assume the real Indonesian food. I did find it expense to have dinner. The food was good but the accommodation was... More

We booked a table in advance, which was the right choice as it got very busy and they were turning people away over the Easter weekend. An intimate dining experience but no disabled access and very steep stairs to the basement toilets. Best tables in the windows, overlooking the street and canal. Would go back if in town again.

This is our first go of Indonesian so we don't have anything to relate it to, we have eaten at a lot of Thai places and this was different so here we go... Small place, maybe 30 seats. We chose the Riesling which turned out to bbe a good choice, do overly mineral, had some finishing acid, and some fruit.... More

Our first Indonesian meal. We're "foodies", and found it excellent. Staff was exceedingly gracious. The 3-course crispy duck meal was fantastic, with great flavor and texture combinations. Would have tried the Rijsttafel (rice table), but we were intimidated by the sheer amount of food, since it includes either 13 or 16 dishes/courses. Many other tables chose that specialty. Somewhat near... More

There are more reknown indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam, but this small restaurant serves authentic indonesian food, and their ricetables are second to none. We had a couple of hours here, and we were very satisfied. Great staff !

Near our hotel and not too crowded we popped in for a late dinner. Very pleasantly surprised by the delicious meal. Fish for me and fried rice with giant prawns for my husband. The wait staff was friendly, but not overly attentive, the food well spiced but not too hot. We don't understand some of the complaints on this site.... More

Went here because it was right next to our hotel. Quaint, intimate interior with close seating but only one other table besides ours that night. Husband has been to Thailand and he really liked the cuisine at this eatery. Would go again.

We booked into this Indonesian restaurant for a Saturday evening in early March - the place was reasonably busy as we arrived but thinned out quite quickly. The decor was a bit old fashioned but the ambiance was warm and welcoming enough. We both like Indonesian food with its rich mix of ingredients such as coconut, peanut sauce and exotic... More

Small upstairs, rather quiet restaurant with Indonesian food. Tried the Rijsttafel. Not too spice, some of it reasonably spicy. Stronger on request.

Nice restaurant. Dishes were fine, service was fine too. Too much food, we could not finish. Not crowded.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
