We can thank social media for this gem. We knew we had to try this place so went straight there when we got to the city. The chips and sauces were absolutely delicious. Lots of choice and great value for money! We didn’t realise they...didn’t take MasterCard or Visa so when we went to pay we realised we couldn’t. They were SO accommodating and trustworthy and told us to go and enjoy our food, pop round the corner to the cash point then come back when we were ready. Great start to our city break!!!!More

Dutch chips are so flipping tasty! This place had an enormous queue outside it which shows the popularity although they get through people pretty speedily! Great selection of sauces and massive portions. They only take local credit/debit cards which is baffling so make sure you...have some Euro's.More

The fries were tasty, but in my opinion too dry, i prefer when are crispy outside but soft inside. The variety of sauces is impressive.

It’s a very popular place so be prepared to wait in a queue (but it’s fast). We ordered medium fries and highly recommend mayo and saté sauce. It was pretty good!

After trying frites in Brussels, Bruges, Paris, and Amsterdam I can honestly say these are some of the best frites we have had. We went back multiple times during our stay in Amsterdam. There is always a line, sometimes long, but thankfully the line moves...quickly and these frites are totally worth the wait. They have a lot of toppings to choose from. The traditional sauce in the Netherlands is mayo, but if you are a fan of mayo with your fries in the states like Chick-fil-A, I would suggest get the Zaans Mayo. The other very popular topping is the Oorlog. It is a dolop of Satay and Mayo and topped with onions. Sounds weird, but the combination works very well and tastes amazing. The other traditional Dutch sauce is Joppie. It is a curry based mayo sauce. It is a little spicy, but very good. Please make it a point to visit this stand when you are in Amsterdam. You will not regret it.More

Our foodie daughter swore the place, really a window selling street food, had the best fries she’s ever had. They were very good, completely greaseless. But the real attraction is the large array of sauces one can order to accompany the fries. I had a...curry sauces which was quite good. Still, though I’d go back if in the neighborhood, I wouldn’t make a special trip.More
