The waitstaff was kind enough to cook me a pancake when their kitchen was about to close. Unfortunately, the chef must have been rushing, because the pancake really didn't seem like it was properly cooked. However, it was late and I was hungry, so I didn't want to make a fuss. The place was clean and seemed respectable. Maybe I... More

We came across this café whilst looking for somewhere to have breakfast, and we entered to the seating area where we were met with a friendly waitress. We ordered some of the freshly squeezed orange juice which was great, along with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon for me, and bacon and eggs for my husband. A quick meal for a... More

So many places to eat in this city but The Blom looked clean and respectable. We gave it a try and had a wonderful lunch. Everything is prepared as ordered so no pre-made food sitting around for hours waiting for somebody to order.

My friends and I were in the cheese shop round the corner when we decided it was time to find somewhere for lunch. We asked the lady working in the cheese shop if she could recommend somewhere and she told us about Blom and we were so glad she did! Really lovely lunch place that also serves alcohol! Really good... More

Great cafe, very reasonably priced would highly recommend. Daughter had a sausage roll 3 euros husband had the pea soup with lots of ham which he thoroughly enjoyed 6 euros. The omelettes are 7/8 euros but taste delicious.

As it is the last day in Nederlands we wanted to have our last meal of croquettes. And we weren't disappointed. They were delicious. This is a quant little cafe ,not far from the train station.

Popped in for lunch - remembered eating here previously and we weren't disappointed. Hubby had cheeseburger and chips - looked a bit small and squashed when it arrived but was really tasty and he was full enough after! I had the giant meatball and chips - really delicious and traditional flavours. Hubby had beer and I asked for a bottle... More

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Tasty hot food. Good atmosphere. Excellent value. What more can you ask for? If it's a café rather than a restaurant that you are looking for, do give it a go.

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
