Called in here by chance and we ate a couple of thin crust pizzas. Tasty food and pleasant enough ambience.

I was sat on the left, my friend the right. After getting my carbonara which satisfied my appetite my friend was still waiting. He was compensated with half a beer... which he greeted with a disgruntled "cheers mate". When the order finally came we all agreed it was wrong but were unsure. I myself had a brilliant meal my friend... More

You get what you pay for, and this should be considered a nice alternative to all the lazy fast food - recommended if your on a budget and want to dine in the city :)

Best Italian food we've had in all of Amsterdam. Their pasta is probably the best deal you will get for quality food in all of Amsterdam. We ate here three times during the week we were here and didn't have a single bad pasta. Try the carbonara or the aglio e olio, you won't be disappointed! It was frankly better... More

We were well greeted and shown to our table. I ordered Linguine with clams and my partner Lasagne. Both dishes were cooked to perfection and thoroughly enjoyed. The Linguine pasta was perfect and the dish really flavoursome with loads of clams. With 1/2 litre of wine the meal was excellent value at €38. Definitely recommend this place.

Perfect food with friendly staff. We didn't have to wait at all for a drinks order to be taken. All food was cooked perfectly and was out in good time. The food had that "authentic" Italian taste. Will be back

Honestly, the food was terrible. The two cokes we ordered were served in a tiny jug, and was so flat we couldn't drink it. The pizza was served with slices of lunch meat on it, honestly the worst food we ate in Amsterdam.

WE did not order pasta or pizza which probably was a mistake but ordered chicken and fish, both were dry and practically inedible. We told the waitress but she did not seem to care

My son and I went looking for this place because he felt for Italian. This is not a fancy place by any measure and the food was nothing special. The service was good and the prices were reasonable.

Thank Simon R

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
