Found this great cafe/bar on our last day of 5 in Amsterdam. We loved the atmosphere and the position looking onto the street, that we stayed for about 2 hours. The guy behind the bar was very friendly and the food also looked lovely. The toilets were very clean which is a plus for us ladies. Would highly recommend if looking for... More

If you want to visit a non tourist spot, this is it. Your typical Dutch neighborhood bar filled with characters, from the man reading every piece of the paper whilst nursing a beer, to young couples out for an after work drink. Lots of color and character. Food is not extensive, typical bar food, bitterballen, cheese, spring rolls etc, but... More

We called in for a glass of wine, but mainly to shelter from a heavy rain shower! Great atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. The food menu looked interesting, but we didn't have time to eat. Will call again

Really love this pub. It's relaxing, local people in a touristy area. And always friendly and hard working staff. If you are around visit it for sure for a drink and some great bitterballen :)

Very nice little place. Lovely atmosphere, lovely looking. Owner and staff very friendly. I tried the osseworst sandwich (pictured). Very nice, if a little unusual for me as it was my first time eating raw meat.

Great neighborhood pub not overrun by drunks like some parts of Amsterdam. Quaint inside and great Bitterballen to go with good beer selection and friendly servers.

Tucked away behind a very unimposing facade is this little gem of a bar restaurant. The decor and the ambiance is very unassuming and very much like an old style bar. But the staff and the food are just great. The menu is very short so you can be assured of home style food cooked with love and care. Just... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
