The presentation of the food in the window is really nice. The taste, is a little bland, however. Ordered an apple pie and simply couldn't get through even half of it.

We stumbled upon this bakery and were so excited to find fresh pastries, made in front of you, in a quaint little shop that overlooked a bit of the canal. The pastries were delicious ( not too sweet, just right) there was abundant variety of...More

What a great, tiny place! Perhaps the only downside is that it is so tiny. The food is incredible but no place to enjoy those brownies, tasty sandwiches and strong coffee. The lines in and outside of the place let you know that it is...More

We ate a delicious piece of chocolate cake in this small vintage bakery shop. While we were eating, the smell of freshly made pies and cakes were everywhere. Definitely worth a visit. Only minor downside was the wooden cutlery with the cake and the small...More

To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the

historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples

well, French Toast a la De laatste Kruimel is done I think with a big croissant instead of a slice of bread. We made French toast at home by beating a bit of milk in an egg and dowsing the piece of bread in the mixture... More
