Went on this "supposedly" Italian restaurant for a meal, but it proved to be a really big mistake. First of all the portions were abismal, kind of like a child's portion, and really overpriced. Ketchup is €0.50 per bag, wich is ridiculous, feels like your in mcdonalds. The service was horrendous and it just feels like they don't care about... More

Did not pre book but they were able to accommodate a very large group. The food was madeto order but worth the wait. The garlic bread is a must! It seemed to be family run. They could not have been nicer.

We nipped in here to see if they could accommodate 21 of us & it was no problem at all. I was slightly dubious that this obviously family run business could manage all orders, but, no problem at all! We may have waited a little but no problem, gifted garlic bread was brought out & plenty of drinks to keep... More

I've been so hungry after whole busy day that's why I chosen this Italian restaurant. My fault. Service was really bad. Nobody care there about clients. Food was tasteless...Nobody asked us if we need something : water, one more drink etc... Unprofessional service, but the worst thing was that my plate was chipped lol... Nobody asked for the feedback... Very... More

When the food eventually arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with the quality - we had a selection of dishes including pasta, pizza, lasagne and calzone and everyone thought the food was delicious. The decor is a little dated and you can only pay with cash, but overall it was a good experience.

The worst pizza I have ever had. If we didn't know what pizza was, we would believe what we served was a pizza! Very plain, no taste, no toppings or cheese! They are trying to fake Italian but ver unsuccessful one! I wouldn't ever go there again.

The decor is not brilliant but we weren't looking for a 5 star hotel. Don't let it put you off. The waiter was superb and listened carefully to my allergy requirements. The food came and was divine. They made exactly what we asked for. The portions were not too huge so as to feel overwhelmed. Make sure you check your... More

I went there because of hunger and from outside IT looked cozy and nice. Inside was freezing cold because they gave us table next to door. Next was terrible antipasti ala chef. And after around 30mins we Got like tiny chicken breasts. I mean the place was empty besides a couple drinking tee. I could eat myself halfdead in McDonalds... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
