Excellent choice for a wonderful meal for two. Service was good, although a little higggly piggldy at times (brought us pudding and wine choice before we'd chosen!) the staff made good with extra choices from the wine flight- appreciated. Recommend the Jerusalem artichoke tart as a starter. Both the courgette & the crayfish bisque were fabulous. The white port chosen... More

Hemelse Modder is located on a canal east of central station, just outside of the tourist crowded areas. It has what I would call contemporary Dutch cuisine - a focus on regional ingredients and recipes. Quality is very good. The menu is simple, and offers a set menu choice of 3 to 5 courses (range EUR36-49) and wine pairing is... More

While it is so difficult to find a restaurant for the day after Easter holiday , this one is open and available for booking. We do not hv expectations as we do last minute booking, and just think we can have a place for diner gathering with friends . It turned out a little delighted place suited in the Canal... More

Visited as a family for my mothers 80th birthday we were impressed. Chose 3 course menu portions not massive making 3 courses manageable. Only slight criticism air conditioning was noticeable so you might need to take extra cardigan/ jacket with you. I had signature chocolate dessert which was Devine.

Really good place. My wife had the courgette soup followed by the sea bass special followed by the rhubarb meringue dessert. All 3 were excellent. I had the goose breast followed by the lamb and then the chocolate mousse. The latter was perhaps not that interesting compared to the rhubarb. The service was friendly and efficient, albeit occasionally hit and... More

Absolutely loved this place - only a ten minute walk maximum from central station. The dining area is clean, simple and elegant which is kind of reflected in the food. I had a couple of seafood dishes and both were beautiful. We also tried some wine from the Netherlands which was really nice. Service was really friendly and welcoming, English... More

We were there for a family affair and it was very nice. It's a basic 3 course menu of what I would call Dutch cooking. The wine pairing was good and the service attentive considering that there were 12 of us at 1 long table.

We booked a meal at Hemelse Modder after its high reviews on trip advisor, we were not disappointed. Lovely 3 course meals for less than we had paid at a steak restaurant the night previous, but so so much nicer. The Hake dish was incredible. Staff were also lovely and friendly. Will definitely go back next time we are in... More

I booked a table on line as the restaurant had been busy the previous night. The 3 course selection was 36€. All the food was tasty, served quickly in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. There was a good wine selection including by the glass or carafe. Thoroughly recommended.

Thank J L
