This is no longer authentic. This restaurant has really gone downhill. Chefs in jeans and t-shirts?, low volume tepanyaki(1 scallop and 1 piece of squid) but still high prices. Saki served from a box??? I left felling hungry and disappointed after paying €55 for a poor meal with poor service.. Avoid this disappointing restaurant at all costs, I won't be... More

This used to be an authentic Japanese restaurant, up to about 2 or 3 years ago, and was among the best in Amsterdam: Now taken over by an Argentinian steak house with no feeling for Japanese cuisine at all: two old chefs, only one is Japanese, food was barely OK (not excellent as it used to be) the service was... Excellent food, great service, very friendly! The beef and lamb are amazing; so is desert. Would go back in a minute!

Went to Kobe House on a Sunday evening with some friends, overall it's OK, nice to see the chef cooking in front of you, taste wise was also OK and the pice a bit expensive.

Really enjoyable experience. The chef cooks your meal in front of you. Lovely food. Varied price menu on offer.

The was fine, nothing special but the service was awful. It took us over 3 hours to dine here and the waitor was all over the place.

Highly overpriced and in no relation to the quality you get. The cook we had today at the plate gave the impression that it was his first day ever cooking. Only recommendation we can give avoid this place,

A meal with friends. We have visited the Kobe many times now. Always pay it a visit when we are in Amsterdam. Always a good night out and always good food. Been coming here for many years. The place itself is starting to look a bit tired and could do with a lift. Other than that you will enjoy the... More

When to this restaurant not for the teppanyaki but more for the steak. Ordered a 200g steak for about €15 as well as a mixed vegetables skewer for €3.95 and plain still water. The steak was good and idles quite succulent to eat without the need for sauces. That being said, I ordered pepper sauce and it was good. Finished... More

Went for a tapanyaki experience in Amsterdam and it was simply amazing! The food was excellent and the service brilliant. Prices are more than correct based on the quality of the dishes.

Neighbourhood Profile
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
