Hi had read about Envy Restaurant in the newspaper and on the internet that it was very good. I love to eat good food, so I am specially observante. The whole setting was good (just missed the background music) and the food was ok. Nothing spectacular. It tasted good, but it was overpriced for what we got offered. Also think... More

Although the portions were small the food was really nice w the lot of flavors. Service was really slow and when we asked the waitress, who was really polite btw, for a second bottle of wine they didn't have any. Very disappointing for a restaurant w a michelin star status. Overall though it was a good experience. Pricy but enjoyable.

Walked in around 8pm on a chilly February night to a warm welcome and a set at a communal table. Started off with three fat local oysters, some tasty salumi and a small plate of mackerel with sand-crab soup. Finished with a "bounty" dessert featuring, of course, chocolate and coconut and paired with a dessert wine. The dishes were well-prepared... More

Walked past this restaurant on our first afternoon in Amsterdam.... Fantastic to watch the kitchen prep through the window....So much so that we tried our luck that evening. Very friendly staff.Very clean. Prompt service. Lots of choice. Amazingly tasty food. Fairly price especially as the area it is in is classed as the Kensington of Amsterdam. Cost 94 euros for... The food was good, but the portions are ridiculously small - not just for the price, but to say you can share means one small taste each. Literally. Odd menu, with starters like a typical tapas and then "warm" dishes that were of an excellent standard but completely different cuisine. Service was friendly but haphazard. Overall - nice dinner but... More

we were a group of 11 people there in December, we opted for the tasting menu, which was lovely and very well priced. However, when the first couple sat down they were offered water, which they accepted, water kept being placed on the table...when we called for the bill, we noticed the bottles of water were nearly E7 per bottle!... Hoping to enjoy a great meal at this restaurant, I found the food to be poorly prepared lacking both in flavor and presentation. Service was nonchalant at best requiring us to be the pretentious visitor waving our hands to obtain water after asking twice and to nrequest our next food order. How do I make the reader believe how bad... More

Booked a 9pm table here earlier in the day. They have stools and long bar tables, but adds to the ambience. We had the four course set meal, and whilst the service was a little hap hazard, the food was great. Really enjoyed our evening.

We went here just before getting our flight back home and boy did we leave Amsterdam on a high point. It was 6pm on a Monday and the restaurant was not very busy but we were made feel very welcome. The menu was very inventive yet inviting. Everything begged to be tasted. We ordered few dishes some of which were... More

Really a pleasure to be here. I've been here so many times and the people of ENVY always seem to amaze me with the fabulous service and the outstanding food and drinks. If you have the chance to have one dinner in Amsterdam go to ENVY. Vargash and his team will see to it that you will have a superb... More

Description
Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
