When we saw that Envy had a michelin star we went there and we had a big frustration. The service was not good, slow and the waitress forgot the sparkling water, the fork and knife, etc. It was very, very expensive. The menu was a...More

A very nice place located on the most beautiful canal. The food was amazing. I found the price of the wine a bit too expensive.

We were sitting at the chefs table near the kitchen and loved every minute! The dishes were exciting and delicious always with a surprising twist! Would love to come again! Our waiter ilja was very knowledgeable about wines and food! An overall excellent experience!

Really enjoyed the food at Envy. Very creative take on asparagus throughout the entire menu. Apart from the meat maincourse (slightly chewy beef and pork cheeks), all dishes were perfectly executed and a pleasure to eat. Service was unfortunately very slow and not particular attentive....More

Came over for lunch after reading good average reviews online, so it's important to have a few points clear ahead of your visit: - the menu is a surprise and you don't select any dishes, only how many you will have. We selected 4. There...More

Visited Envy the last night of our stay in Amsterdam. After 4 weeks travelling through Europe, my husband and I had many good food experiences, and a few that were outstanding. Envy promised to fall into the outstanding category, but fell well short. We opted...More

Dinner here is a real treat during Asparagus season. The food was great and we enjoyed to see the kitchen preparing the dishes behind their 'bar'. Such a beautiful location at the Prinsengracht. Thanks to Ilja and the other staff, we will be back soon!

Unique experience starting with its location and fantastic decor. Glass fronted fridges housing fresh produce and excellent wines makes for wonderful ambience. Tasting menu calibrated at 4 5 or 6 courses makes for sensible choice depending on how much you want to eat. The menu...More

Out of box of the usual tourist restaurants, Envy stands out for its ability to make haute cuisine in an elegant and modern setting. Shame about the choice of inserting a large central counter that leaves guests a bit uncomfortable to taste refined dishes and...More

Came here for an anniversary dinner and had an amazing well rounded experience! We came here for a late dinner on a Monday night (around 9pm). The restaurant was busy, but not overly crowded. I made a reservation earlier in the day and they were...More

Description
Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
