Oh dear, what a pity. We booked with high hopes of a great evening but were disappointed. Good - The food was excellent but beware tiny portions, you'll need at least 4 dishes each @ €12.50 each. Bad - Despite booking in person with the...More

I thought about what review to give this place as the food was good, but in the end, I decided to give it a 1 for the staff, service, price and very small portions. It is simply not worth people going. We felt ripped-off and...More

You enter a long narrow attractive furnished restaurant, and as you check in get shot of a gazpacho like cold spicy soup. My wife and I sat across from each other at a long narrow table which made for an intimate setting. We were forewarned...More

We were staying at the Andaz and wanted to eat in the area. We stumbled upon this gem. Food is absolutely delicious. They recommend 3-4 dishes if you eat a la carte. The portions are appetizer size but not small at all so by the...More

Very impressive. The tasting menu was varied and interesting - we rated it at least on a par with some Michelin star places we've been to recently. Certainly well above your average Bib Gourmand. The service was good - sharp yet informal, as was the...More

The location and the setting are nice. The food, at least what we ordered, could have been better. Service was average.

The first thing the waitress wanted to tell us, as soon as we sat down, is that Envy is a fine dining restaurant. The portions will be small, so we would need 2 or 3 each. Except that, it turned out, they are so incredibly...More

We went on a friend's recommendation and sat at the chefs' table. We are trying to economise and didn't want the full Michelin star experience, so saw Envy as a good option. And indeed it was - great value for the eight course chef's table...More

A really unique gourmet expereince. We reserved the chef's table and had an 8 course meal! Luckily - the courses are small - so we didn't over do it. Loved it.

I went with friends and we all had the 8 course taster menu. The food was just outstanding and to top it off when my friend asked if they had a lobster dish, they made one especially for him. If that's not top service I...More

Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
