I was so impressed with the food at Tujuh Maret. This is the first time I have ever tried Indonesian food. I have been missing out on a wonderful cuisine. We had the vegetarian rice plate which had all the vegetarian dishes of Tujuh Maret....More

Before going to Amsterdam we watched a Rick Steeves episode about rijsttafel, the Indonesian rice table, where the many specialty items were laid out banquet style. It looked great. Now I don't know the presentation of the many other Indonesian restaurants in Amsterdam but this...More

After being snubbed at Tempo because of no reservations we decided to go next door. I'm glad we did. We sat right away and our server was super friendly and attentive. The food was delicious as well as sides. Price was reasonable for what you...More

A nice find on a street with four other Indonesian restaurants. Wide range of dishes, all come either as mild, medium or hot. The mild has some kick, the medium is what many in the U.S. would consider spicy and the hot is flaming! Loved...More

If you're looking for authentic, tasty Indonesian food, Tujuh Maret is definitely the place to go. Aug’17 and again June’18 we had the best Indonesian rijsttafel I had in quite a while: pangsit as appetiser - for our main: their highly recommended rijsttafel (mixed meat...More

Overpriced tourist trap, service and food was OK. This street has 4 Indonesian restaurants on a strip of 200 meters so choose wisely, I recommend the Soenda Kelapa Indonesisch Eethuis.

If you fancy a taste of Indonesia then this is the place to go. I can throughly recommend the mixed starter selection "menu makannan kecil"...a meal in itself, although I did have some chicken sate as well, what a delight and not too expensive. Staff...More

We had a lovely meal there - we chose the mixed rice dish which came with a selection of meat and vegetable dishes and was absolutely delicious.

We came for the restaurant next door but it was closed for lunch so we ended up here. Very nice surprise - friendly, reasonably-priced, and delicious food. I would strongly recommend it to anyone wanting to try Indonesian food in the formal colonial capital.
