We had really tasty crab and avocado salad for starters, and the portions were generous. My bouillabaisse was OK with plenty of fish but not quite enough seasoning and herbs. My wife had a grilled fish on a portion of rice and cabbage which was...More

We had dinner in this restaurant and the seafood was terrible. The mussles were cold and when they warmed them up they were completely dry. It were the most tiny muscles we had ever seen. The French fries were cold as well. The people next...More

Pricy but overall the food and service were very good. French fries were way too fatty and unlikely to be home made.

Lovely place with a good French atmosphere, and great quality seafood. We had Lobster and Risotto , both excellent choices! The place can be a little loud, depending of the conversations of other tables. We had a great time!

Enjoyed a very nice meal in pleasant surroundings. My husband had spaghetti to start which was more like a main course size, and I had scallops. Both starters were extremely good though mine was a more suitable size to start the meal. Big bonus for...More

A typical pre-concert better "fast-food" where one is most of the time in a hurry in order to reach the concert building on time. We were not impressed by this "old" style kitchen with overcooked vegetables and a very tuff steak. Unfortunately nothing has changed...More

We went there to celebrate my birthday and the crew was very attentive. The seafood is out of this world: we enjoyed the paëlla seafood plate. Also desert was delicious. It's not cheap, but worth it.

There is a wide variety of dishes, other meats are available, and very tasty. Fish is only one option. You'll be fine.

Description
Inspired by the characteristic brasseries in Brussels and Paris, Brasserie Bark is a lively seafood restaurant in Amsterdam's museum quarter. On the menu you'll find an assortment of fish and seafood dishes, from oysters to lobster, salmon to sole and even swordfish. The house speciality is the 'fruits de mer', an impressive selection of shellfish served over ice. The restaurant takes particular pride in only using fresh produce, which means that the menu changes 5-6 times a year, according to the season. Rather unusually for a restaurant in Amsterdam, Brasserie Bark stays open until midnight, so whether you are going for an informal dinner or business meeting, time need not be an issue.
