The fish soup wasn't so good as described by the staff. Also they tried to charge us for two cappuccinos that we didn't order very disappointing.I won't reccomend this place for sure.

This restaurant is ideally situated with views over the harbour it has outdoor seating but also has smoking outside but there are plenty of window seats inside it is spotlessly clean and the staff are very friendly. Wide choice of lunch meals extensive wine lists and lots of choice for coffee and hot drinks.

Food is ok but not special, service is quick but with a hint of impatience, price is a bit too high for what you get but the place is comfortable and on the right location to attract a lot of tourists. I imagine abundance of tourists made this place not care much to thrive on...

Good to have lunch or just a drink. Nice atmosphere and staff too. More locals than tourists, what is a good sign

Tried to eat at this restaurant for a nice lunch with family. The staff were so rude after sitting down for 10 minutes with only one menu for 5 people no one came to serve us. It was almost on purpose they were ignoring us.

We went in during luncheon time, with small child. Only had a toasted sandwich and a original Dutch pea-soup (erwtensoep), completed with some coffee. And I have to conclude that the soup was excellent, nice taste with good meat and sausage. They also serve real Lunches and dinners, nice variety of beers, drafts, and wine card. Location is at the... More

We went with the family to this "brasserie". Cosy environment, fair food, the soups are definitely great. The Cathrien specialty however offers standard fishes prepared in a standard way for a very high price (31€).

Popped in for lunch on a day trip to Volendam. Great food and helpful staff. Although it was raining heavily outside and the place was buzzing as customers came in to keep dry service was excellent. The waitresses managed to keep on top of things and the food was plentiful and tasty. Would recommend to anyone visiting this area.

In need if a drink and some food we were very fortunate to locat this perfect location. Located in the corner of the marina close to Marken Express is this quiet spot. The inside was nicely decorated, perhaps even described as fancy. We sat outside and watched the thunder and lightening show while enjoying a beer and the fish soup;... More

Great Eats along with the view. Had the Pasta with Meatballs, it was Great! Went light on the drinks and it also the best. The staff was also awesome. Busy place so try and get there before the crowd, since most of the Tour groups come by. But lots to do and see around the area and of course lots... More
