I took a portion with beer stew's sauce and it was good! A big portion, a lot of sauce and fast service. Good snack to take away

Too expensive, but it's a legendary place to have some fries. The fries itself are really hard. Not a lot of choice in meat and sauce options either. Typically for tourists, but I recommend have fries elsewhere if you want to experience better quality Belgian fries.

Do not go here! After day of sightseeing Antwerp, we got hungy and immediately thought of the famous Flemish fries. Fresh, hand chopped, double cooked with a good sauce and a nice snack. At this place, it was far from Flemish. What a waste of money..... - Fries not fresh (from the freezer) - Snacks not cooked properly (took them... More

It's the place of the city center that everybody knows but certainly not the best. It's quick and you can discover the ambiance of the Belgian frituur with that restaurant but I still prefer the French fries 😄

Frituur No. 1 has been on the Hoogstraat for as long as I remember, and over the years has undergone some cosmetic changes...one thing that has not changed is the quality of the frites....well worth stopping off if you are peckish for some smothered with a selection of different sauces (beware of the samurai sauce...quite potent!)... At the start to... More

Nice fastfood street shop and even has a heated area to consume your Belgian fries. Very friendly sales staff and lots of sauces to choose from for you 'frietjes'

Entering in this traditional French Fries shop is a pleasant adventure. There is the main shop - You stand to order - and then you can eat inside one of the two eating rooms. I would say that they are typically vintage 1950 eating rooms. We were the four of us and therefore had a good size order, when we... More

Nice frites! We also ordered a meat croquette, that looked worryingly like a spam croquette but it was actually very tasty and crispy. I wouldn't say they're the best frites I have ever had, but it's good for a quick snack!

This chip shop is a monument in the local nightlife. After visits to some of the local cafe's or pubs, you might feel a bit hungry ... the place to get a quick snack is Frituur Nr.1. Maria, is the name of the person in charge of serving customers for many years and she always in the mood for a... More
