We chose this restaurant to celebrate a very non-traditional Thanksgiving in Brussels. It was excellent. We started with the white wine mussels, while not my favorite style the mussels were cooked very well. I chose the red tuna that 'was brought in about two hours ago' and it was great! Other had the calamari and chicken, both very good. This... More

An emphasis on seafood in this relaxing, well located, but unassuming place. We left very happy. The mussles were perhaps the nicest I've had, as was the superb lobster bisque. I took off a star as the frites with our mussels were a let down and looked bought in, but perhaps I am being churlish? Charming hosts whose Greek heritage... More

After so many restaurants we have been to in Brussels and Amsterdam. La Boussole counts as the best. Not only the food is great, the lady boss was motherly and extremely gentle and helpful, and the ambience of the place was nice and warm. As reputed, the grilled squid (their signature dish) was terrific, and I'm saying this as a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the Hotel Welcome where we were staying. My husband really wanted salmon so Michel called and confirmed that it was on the menu. My husband had excellent salmon and I had the seafood risotto which was full of every kind of seafood and just delicious.

Enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the sites. The moules frites were great. Very nice broth and fresh mussels. Seafood risotto was very fresh. Very good seafood selection on the menu and good prices.

After reading an online review we decided to try this little restaurant near Saint Catherine's cathedral. At first we were a little worried, as many of the restaurants were very full and this one was pretty empty. However, once we were seated we received excellent service. Two of our party got the mussels and frites and they RAVED about how... More

AWESOME! Mussels were absolute perfection! Superfresh, perfectly cleaned, perfectly cooked! The onions and celery were very fresh and tasty too and gave the mussels a delicate and delicious flavor! The fries were also great, not greasy, fresh, crunchy and served with a very nice mayo; the service was very good and we'll definitely go back to taste their signature dish:... More

La Boussole was on the Brussels top 10 list for mussels. We wanted to try mussels form a good place. We were not disappointed. We had a seafood salad appetizer which was ok for 12 euro, nothing special. Our dinner was mussels and frites. One was the garlic cream and the other pot was the white wine and garlic style.... We were lured by the ratings and reviews of the moule and frites, to be later disappointed... The place is friendly and nice, I give u that. But the food was very much average. Took the lobster bisque soup and moule frites and my friends the steak with equal verdict.
