The Greek owners offer nice French-Belgian style food, focused on seafood. Good menu, original and "honest" food, big portions, good service. The environment is a bid poor, but cosy. Do not expect that the our environment means low prices. Count on more than 120 euro for a dinner for two. But this part of Brussels is very touristic and that... More

They first give you olives and bread. The bread was quite cold, but I still ate it cause I was really hungry. Also, I ordered the moule frites and the pasta. The food was okay. Not bad, but not the kind I would dream about. I also got a beer, but found a little bug sitting inside. I told the... More

Arrived at La Boussole quite late for lunch and the mussels were finished. So we had the grilled bass and grilled bream which I must say was excellent. It will always be a good place to have a meal whenever in Brussels. The mussels are a must (according to my cousin).

Arrived at 7:30 thinking the place would be crowded but we soon learned making a reservation was very unnecessary. The best part of the meal was the waitress who was very attentive and sweet. She took our orders immediately and the food came out in a timely manner. For an appetizer we ordered the lobster bisque. For starters, it didn't... More

We got in Brussels quite late and tried to find a place to have dinner near where we were staying. Luckily La Boussole was still open. We all choose the bouillabaisse as it is not often to find this dish. Gladly we were not disappointed with our meals. We wouldn't say you absolutely need to go there when visiting Brussels... More

We chose this restaurant to celebrate a very non-traditional Thanksgiving in Brussels. It was excellent. We started with the white wine mussels, while not my favorite style the mussels were cooked very well. I chose the red tuna that 'was brought in about two hours ago' and it was great! Other had the calamari and chicken, both very good. This... More

An emphasis on seafood in this relaxing, well located, but unassuming place. We left very happy. The mussles were perhaps the nicest I've had, as was the superb lobster bisque. I took off a star as the frites with our mussels were a let down and looked bought in, but perhaps I am being churlish? Charming hosts whose Greek heritage... More

After so many restaurants we have been to in Brussels and Amsterdam. La Boussole counts as the best. Not only the food is great, the lady boss was motherly and extremely gentle and helpful, and the ambience of the place was nice and warm. As reputed, the grilled squid (their signature dish) was terrific, and I'm saying this as a... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of the Hotel Welcome where we were staying. My husband really wanted salmon so Michel called and confirmed that it was on the menu. My husband had excellent salmon and I had the seafood risotto which was full of every kind of seafood and just delicious.

Enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the sites. The moules frites were great. Very nice broth and fresh mussels. Seafood risotto was very fresh. Very good seafood selection on the menu and good prices.
