Above average Italian food in Brussels. Quality, service, "décor". One negative aspect? Wine only by the bottle or by the glass, rather expensive

We were a group of 10 people. We arrived at the end of the service and without booking. We were lucky they had enough place for us. We took 4 big different plates of pasta and we shared them. It was really good, good product and of course real Italians in the kitchen. For me I think it's a bit... More

Enjoyed a quiet dinner here alone. The service was great and the food excellent. Clearly popular with the locals, I would book next time, they told me the first service before the local theatres open is always busy, better after 8. The waiters were at least trilingual in Italian , English and French - always fun.

We came to the La Mamma, after an exhausting day of travelling. Somebody recommended it to us on the flight to Brussels. I'm not really a fan of pasta, I don't think of it as a dish I would order in a restaurant, but I was really hungry, so I gave in. The place is small, and the waiter didn't... More

Arguably the best Italian in Brussels. Two brothers host you in their small restaurant in St Josse (reservation recommended) and present the suggestions of the day. Pasta is always fresh and sauces are intense. Try the Papardelle or any other pasta with ragu al salsicce, or any dish with truffle. You won't get anything better than this absolutely divine.

Warm welcome, delicious antipasti and superb pasta accompanied by a very good bottle of Nero D'Avola. Highly recommended.

Don't be fooled by its location. This restaurant is worth the scary thrill! With its ivy covered facade and its cute red logo, you spot it from a distance and are already under the charm before even entering. The experience starts when the head waiter (not sure if he is the owner) explains the dishes to you (yup, there are... More

We heard many good things about La Mamma and tried it with a couple of friends who were really used to visiting this place. We all ordered pasta and honesty they were far from being good. Not cooked enough (I don't speak about al dente but just no care given to the cooking), the ones with salmon were way too... More
