We just walk in randomly to this restaurant as we were craving some Asian food. But we indeed made the right choice. End up going to the same restaurant a day after. The taste were good and it still taste quite authentic despite the restaurant were being located in Brussels. They didn't actually alter the taste to cater for the... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat after 11pm on a Sunday night, everywhere seemed to be closed, then we came across this place. I didn't expect too much, but was pleasantly surprised. One of my friends had chicken fried rice, another had a spicy szechuan chicken type dish, and I had a beef Thai curry. The portions were very... More

The hotel is located down the narrow street opposite to 'Bourse de Bruxelles'. From the outside, its unimpressive, if at all noticeable. Inside, the hotel presents a more real Asian feeling. It was nice and cosy to sit down. The hotel staff was not so good with their English, but then its in Belgium !!! They were accomodating, polite and... More

Compared to a few years ago when the restaurant had fallen victim to occidental tastes, the new menu (la carte) offers quite authentic dishes and tastes from two Chinese provinces which reflect the 2 chefs' homes in China Hunan and Sichuan, if I am not mistaken.

We go there very often and there are few vegan options that are very good e.g. "Carbonnade de pates de soia".

Went back to same place twice in 2 days because of great spicy soup. Also the atmosphere was like on a real Thai restaurant in Bangkok street.

Xu Ji offers a wide range of Chinese cuisine from different provinces. The taste is good and the portion is quite generous. I am impressed in particular by the quality of the steamed fish which in itself is quite hard to find especially in Europe.

Was looking for somewhere to eat Chinese in centre of Brussels late evening (it was just after 11pm). Xu Ji was open but virtually empty. Went in fully expecting frosty looks from staff who probably thought they'd finished for the night (they were actually eating at a side table). On the contrary, I was greeted with friendly smile and attentive... More

We had lunch a couple weeks ago, for about 7€. Nothing to write home about but it did the trick and we would come back. The lady was nice and her "lunch" hours were very flexible, unlike most competitors in the area.
