This was a disappointing experience. Even though we ordered classics, the tapas did not taste true or fresh for that matter. The calamari rings were very thick and obviously frozen; the tortilla de patatas was not memorable. The only good surprise was the patatas bravas and dishes that were not Spanish. Not sure why this is called L'Auberge Espagnole... To... More

We reserved a table, and should do it. Tge place was full. The staff was absolutely nice to us, and the waiting time was not that much, even though the place was full and there was just two people serving. The dishes were very nicely cooked, and the sangria was very good ( unfortunately we could only have 1 glass... More

I love tapas, but normally I am afraid from the size of the dishes vs how much I pay... here, you pay low and you get considerbly large portion for tapas. The margarita jar is great value and the selections of tapas is impressive. The free olive service is a great bonous! Wine list not so bad either.

The restaurant has a very interesting atmosphere and makes you feel that you travel to Spain or another country but the food is not something special.

Tapas galore! Absolutely a great restaurant with really authentic Spanish tapas from its many varied regions. Coupled with a great selection of wines and cava, makes this place truly a gem of a find. Be ready to be transported to Spain right in the heart of the Chatelain in Brussels. Always busy so do get a reservation!

The restaurant was pretty crowded once we arrived. We were in a group of nine people and we decided to take together with some classic tapas three big platter. The taste was more than ok but I was surprised that all three platter were with serrano and that you need to ask for bread, since it is not brought automatically.... More

It is not very often that one can come across a place with a cosy atmosphere and good food in Brussels. This one had them both. Including very reasonable prices. I've been living in Brussels for quite some years now and I keep on wondering why I only go out to several selected bars/cafes/restaurants when there is so much to... More

Quite cozy restaurant in a fabulous part of Brussels. I was more than a bit disappointed of their chili con carne especially since I had read that it be really nice. Many yound waiters and friends taking focus away from the staff but in general it is nice place to visit and enjoy their tapas. Prices are quite fair and... More

I usually have dinner at L'Auberge Espagnole because it's in my neighborhood, but I wouldn't eat here otherwise. The food is tasteful and made with fresh ingredients, but the service is not that great. It is a good place to come with friends and eat in a casual environment, but don't expect an exceptional service.

I have always been a fan of tapas...we were visiting Flagey and stumbled upon this place. It was packed and there was no tables available. We sat at the bar and it was cosy and started with a glass of cava. The atmosphere was nice and we were served by Stephanie. Although she was very busy but she always gave... More
