Extremely authentic, family food; lots of fish, all the bacalhau you could want. Good selection of wines from Portugal. Wonderful salads, very fresh. A real find. And yes, I have been going there for a very long time, and no, I am not the owner!

Looking for a portuguese restaurant in Brussels - o Profeta - was a last minute decision and no regrets at all. All the dishes were well served, big portions and really tasty. The "grelhada mista" is recommended for two but i would say that it's enough for 4. Enjoy it...

We have visited it for the dinner, just by chance, undecided about what we want to eat...and then somebody remembered it! It is small and cozy family run restaurant with authentic food. We have opted for Arroz de Marisco and I strongly recommend it! However be aware they are doing it from the scratch so be patient because it may... More

Probably one of the very best in this neighbourhood. Good Portuguese food friendly service. Very pleasant for lunch on a busy workday.

A very good restaurant with an extensive menu. We can find many typical Portuguese dishes as well as some more or less common to everyone. I staff is very friendly and the food is very good.

We came across this restaurant in Place Jourdan by accident, and were very glad that we did. The service is always very friendly, and the restaurant offers many typical Portuguese dishes. We have tried the bacalhau à lagareiro (codfish cooked in olive oil & garlic) and frango assado (baked chicken), both of which were very good. The prices are reasonable... More

A Portuguese restaurant located just off the Place Jourdain. Decorated in a simple rustic style this restaurant offers Portuguese food with a good selection of sea food and steaks. As with many small restaurants, there appeared to be one guy greeting and waiting on all the tables – as there were only a couple of tables occupied when we went... More

Since a few months I am trying a few portugues restaurants in Brussels. As I regularly pass by l'Amendier I wanted to try it. The restaurant has a kind of portuguese charme, simple furniture and decoration but not in a negative way. The menu offers all typical portuguese dishes besides cabrito (goatling). We all had soup for starters and I... More
