This restaurant is in the Place de Jourdan in the EU Quartier, where every where is overpriced, but it really is ridiculous. Mains at about 15/16 euros and a Tarka Dall side dish 14+ euros. Outrageous. Only one waiter for the whole place so everything was slow and he got things wrong because he didn't write things down. The food... More

I found this restaurant so overpriced. I ordered from it and got 4 pieces of chicken, not marinated and not very tasty for 18€. Not worth it.

I read the mix of reviews before placing our order and decided to take a chance. "How could Indian food be bland?" I wondered to myself. Boy, I wish I had trusted the reviews and saved my money. Somehow Le Shimla does manage to make Indian food bland. Our dishes were liquidy, oily, and disappointing. The na'aan was dry and... More

I ordered a take-away dinner for three. The food was ok but bland and did not taste as if it had been prepared in an authentic Indian style. I would like to give it the benefit of the doubt but at 17/18 euros for a main course it is too expensive. The nan breads were good though.

We ended up in this restaurant because the one we wanted to go was full. Food is not extraordinary but is not bad neither: average. At least they had lassi drinks! Typical and tasty. Beef Biryani was average, but I will mention the sauce of Panner Forma actually, it was really good. I Check: 78€ the bill for 3 people... More

Great food, try the thali. Friendly service. Gets very busy at lunch. Lots of vegetarian options. Very extensive menu.

Restaurant had only 3 tables on a monday night. Well decorated but very quiet so ambiance wasnt good. We were happy enough... until the food came. It had almost no herbs and spices, honestly didnt taste anything like Indian food (I eat a lot of Indian food so I should know). When I told the waitress that it was bland... More

Visited the restaurant with 8 friends. Got a big table without reservation on Tuesday evening. Everybody was happy with the experience (food, service, place). I had chicken vindaloo, which was very tasty (and spicy!). Will definitely visit again.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food after reading some of the reviews. We felt the food was very well cooked and the spices blended expertly to produce a high quality Indian meal.
