I recommend this place. We had a set menu of mussels, Frits and bear - all for 16 Euros for not bad at all. I would suggest booking in advance because when we got there, there was a huge queue outside.

The attraction are the shell so far so good. Pommes mediocre. Always a go and go as in a quick snack restaurant. But the servers was OK.

I think it is a classic restaurant for the locals also. Goods mussels and fries, common meal in Brussels. The service, a little slow but I will definitely go back..

The restaurant is extremely large and the food was rather tasty. In comparison to many other places around, this place is more expensive - it does not have prix fix menu and the plate of mussels will set you back about 25 euros. Despite the size, the servers are very attentive. The location is in middle of the city and... More

We were two times in Chez Leon, one with colleagues and another with my wife. Situated in a very center of Brussels, couple of minutes to Grand Place. Both times was possible to find a table without reserve, as a restaurant is really big. The reverse side is that it's a bit crowds. Fast service, tasty food. Have to try... More

The restaurant seats 500 so it is probably not surprising that things can go wrong. We were seated by the kitchen and suffered the clangs of pots and pans all meal. We only had one course as we could not stand the noise any longer. One chef dropped a pan by us, and then deliberately threw down the rest of... More

Chez Leon is a Brussels institution. It serves delicious moules/frites and their own beer, or wine if you prefer. Prices are reasonable and there's a great atmosphere. The restaurant is constantly busy, yet you will always be found a table. We've visited it many times and always make a point of eating there whenever we visit Brussels. Highly recommended.

We were walking on a very busy street full of restaurants with cheap menus. And then We notice "Chez Leon" people seem to pass all the other places just to get gere. This was a very old and famous restaurant. Famous for its mussels and homemade beer. The prices were really accessible and We found out that this is one... More

Chez Leon is a big cozy restaurant when you'll feel a vibe of Belgium. The specialities for sure are mussels, which by the way, I highly recommend the escargot. The dishes are well served, tasty enough to have good old family or friends dinner. The waiters were very cordial and always willing to help.
