This was an ancient friterie where you could eat fries but this is a great quality meat restaurant in a cosy old Belgian decor. They also serve in season mussels but I suggest here the meat. No matter which one. I had a specially matured cut and was simply excellent. great fries and salad. Good wine cart with no cheap... More

I went today at lunchtime to this resto. No crowds, quite and erally cosy place. The service was very polite and patient with us (4 adults + 3 small children). The food was good, we had excellent steak, with a little salad and French fries. it was OK, with no pretention. Price vis a vis quality is definetly high

A friture in Dutch is normally a very simple restaurant. But not this one. What an excellent food. We had same steaks for lunch. High quality!!! I love this place.

Our great friends from Brussels took us there and we were absolutely delighted with the mussels. They don't come cheap as each portion costs between 22 and 27 euros but the portions are huge. Maybe even enough for two. We also had mussels a l'escargot plus croquette crevette which are basically very tasty shrimp meatballs. The owner is a huge... More

Very few places still know how to make proper sauces. Here they still serve a pepper sauce flambéed with cognac the way it should be. Honestly, this is where I go if I REALLY want to enjoy my dinner. Can't wait to bring my dad to this place

At friture Rene they serve an excellent traditional Belgian cuisine in an original way. Ordinary Belgian meals are made in a perfect way making them delightful. My favorite dish is the tartare maison with roquette salad and parmesan. My girlfriend is wild about their tender filet pur. Their dame blanche is superbe. For the people who like it, they have... A vintage brasserie with excellent food. We've eaten there many times and all have been good. Fish and meat are their speciality. Ask for the daily specialities.

If you like the authentic feel, this is the place to be. The food here is typical Belgian (fries, mussels,..), and although it is quite basic it is tasty. The service is ok, but nothing special.

We were enjoying the idea to try this local restaurant but... Boss is not really welcoming Service is too slow and not really nice (too many tables to serve probably) Luckily mussels are good but way too pricey for what they are and since service quality is not even justifying it. We are not coming back
