I took the fixed-price menu and was happy with the food. The interior was pleasant as well. The service was very good.

I visited the restaurant with my friends for dinner. We tried different dishes - mussels with garlic, scrimps on tomatoes and eel in green sauce. First we got starter, a combination of vegetable soup and fish pate, which was really, really tasty. All dishes were very nicely presented in these old style plates. The mussels were a bit overcooked and... More

Second time in this restaurant and we always found the sea products fresh and nicely cooked. Portions are generous, service is friendly and atmosphere is fine.

The restaurant is located in a nice area of Brussels and it looks like Belgian traditional. I chose a sea menù, an interesting selection of local fishes. The quality was good (included the original idea to serve the fish soup in a coffea cup) but the quantity very small. Cake and wine included, I paid more than 55 euro, a... More

I had the diver sole and it was well cooked and presented. The restaurant also has a good wine selection to compliment the good.

We ran into friends and one of them spotted this nice looking place. It is attractively old-fashioned, lots of wood and mirrors and several lovely antique model boats on shelves high up around the walls. After some discussion about the fact our friends only wanted oysters rather than a full meal - "we are a restaurant, Monsieur" - we were... More

Once a year I'm having dinner Bij Den Boer, and this since twenty years or so. It is one of my favourite places in town for mussels, just 'nature', no wine, cream or so on. My partner at this week's dinner had as a main dish swordfish (lotte) (35 euros). My first course (croquettes de crevettes) was so and so;... More

Well reputated restaurant around St Catherine, especially for seafood and fish. We went there for Mussels and had a great experience. Nice service and excellent food. need to go back!
