My and myself was recommended this place by 2 different locals gor Flemish stew. We found it ok. Nothing special and seemed full of locals so thought good food at good price. Beer good. Service good. Food good. But price extortionate. It eas out first meal in Gent so had nothing to gauge it to. Nut €23.50 each for stew.???... More

I used to go there in the early 90's when it was just a bar. Now you can eat there as well and the food is delicious. It doesn't look like that when you pass by on the street but it's worth a visit. Service is friendly and relaxed. And they have rabbit on the menu!

Everyone who loves local food in a nice atmosphere has to visit this place. Large choice of national and international beers, local dishes on the menu and this in a nice place.

had a delicious dinner, nice place without a lot of tourists. Great place with all kind of beers on the tap. They give good advice what beer to drink with your dinner

I am still quit confused about what this establishment is trying to be, but we had a pleasant meal there. The reason for my confusion is that it very much looks and feels like a pub inside, however when my other half tried ordering only fries to eat we were told in no uncertain terms that it was a restaurant... .. by which I mean that one of us had a pretty dull chicken (which was supposed to be in a vol-au-vent but wasn't) and the other a great beef stew. As others have said, it is a but pricey but the service -even though they were busy - was excellent. Very good beer list too.

We are always looking for places that will accommodate my vegetarian daughter and meat-loving son. This was a hit with all! Beer selection was good and sitting by the river made it a special lunch.

Try to get a table at the canal! Good food and a very friendly staff (father and his very professional son!). Prices a bit high, but we definitely enjoyed our meal.

We found café restaurant Aba-Jour, following a pleasant tow path between Zuivelbrug and Krommewalbrug. As it was a sunny day and there were some tables outside, we decided to have a drink. The location, under a tree and directly over the water of the Leie river, is very pleasant. We watched the tourist boats go by and, over the railing,... More
