During my last visit to Ghent a couple of years ago I made it a point to revisit this little gem of a restaurant which I had discovered some time after it had first started out. It has now become a fixture to sample the dishes each time I am in the city. I am never disappointed. I had the... More

Every time I visit Ghent I dine out at Villa Bardon and for two reasons: The owners, who love food and are passionate about food, and the freshness of the ingredients. You can tell that what is served on the day has been made on the day and with fresh/local products. Highly commanded! A gem in Ghent. Laurence

I went to this restaurant with my family. A few people had been recommending it and we thought we should give it a try. ‘Villa Bardon’ did really live up to the expectations. They have a small menu, but everything on it seemed equally scrumptious. The dishes were wonderful and I ate a little bit too much. Furthermore, the service... More

I live in Asia and whenever I am in Gent, this restaurant is the first place I dine in. The last time I was there, I went with a group of six friends and we all ordered something different. All the dishes were executed perfectly! Do make sure to order the antipasto starter, and the chilli chocolate for dessert! The... More

This charming, family-run place offers a genuine, homely taste of the Mediterranean (I'm from there, so I know) and, what's more, with a Maltese twist - now that's unique to Belgium, isn't it? Martin is tucked away in the semi-open kitchen, and pops out for a chat when possible, whilst Anna, his wife, welcomes and tends to customers endearingly. A... More

We found Villa Bardon after reading local reviews and double checking on Trip Advisor. Everything on the small menu sounded delicious. Our food was lovely; a sharing platter for 2 which comfortably fed 4 followed by sea bass and saltimbocca. Service was excellent and friendly and the food beautifully cooked.

This is Italian dining at it's best. Simple food prepared with love. The menu is limited to 5 entrees and 5 or 6 main dishes all freshly made. Entrees are 10 to 15 euro, main dishes 15 to 25 euro.

We were in the street for the Uncle's Bean's, next door. But the place was crowded and we were lucky to occupy the last table in the Villa Bardon. Very cozy place, very nice decor and floor. But most amazing, the food and service. This place got a very good cook, that's for sure. Staff was very friendly and we... More

A while ago, I vistited Villa Bardon with 2 friends, after wanting to go there for a while. I had a mediterranean roasted cockerel, with vegetables and oven-baked potatoes. I also had the chocolate mousse which was deliciously spicy, and a home made Limoncello. To be really honest, the food was heavenly, there was a great selection of wine, and... More

To our surprise, the place didn't turn out to be as magnificent as it is presented. The food is very specific, not bad actually but definitely far from divine or unsurpassed, it is really not that case. The bill was too high for the impression that we got: when everything is perfect, you don't mind paying more than u were... More
