I visited this pub with some friends at night. The first thing I noticed was the amount of unique objects all over the place. Everywhere I looked, something would grab my attention. There were bikes above my head, candles and lanterns across the tables, and books and statues along the walls. The owner was very friendly and introduced me to... More

This place is superb. A real opener. You want to see bikes? He has them, you want to see a thin cat? He has one. You want to see absolutely any random peice of furniture all in one place? He has it.... yes he charges 6 euros a beer but it's an experience... we were sat with a random German... More

... if you are happy to pay 6 Euros for an unknown beer (in the sense that there is no beer list and the owner (?) simply offered us a strong beer or not. We went for a "not" and were offered a blonde (which was at best good). Inside, it is to be honest dirty. Fascinating as the bicycle... More

THIS IS NOT A RESTRAUNT A friend recommended this place and it was a real eye opener, the place is full of old bikes, hanging from the ceiling, fixed to the walls and free standing. Not much in the way of seating as lots covered in junk. The bottled beer that we drank served by the the eccentric owner in... More

Always an experience. Warmish welcome but that is all part of the attraction. Great a few beers in one of the quirkiest places on the planet.

The place is dirty and unhygienic. They don't show the prices of anything, but you think "well, it's bad beer in an obviously illegal place, it can't be that much." When the moment of paying arrives the owner wants to charge you 6 euro for the same beers that would cost 3 euro in any nice place in the city.... More

The owner charges 6 euros! for a cheap beer or a soda served in a very dirty glass. His place is extremely unhygienic. Stay away!

Looks and feels like a great place, but the owner is a real crook as there is no price list. The beers are way overpriced, 6 euro's for a beer that's worth 2,5 - 3€ in another pub. Really disappointing!!!

Its a bit like those computer games where you have to find certain items on the screen. But are hiddin among tat and other objects.... More

After some administrative problems, the well known place 't Velootje is again fully open to the public.. Do not ask to eat something, it is not a restaurant,it is a verry tipical special Estaminé, or local Pub, situated in a building who was build before the emperor Carolus Quintus was born, in Ghent, so more than 535 ears ago. The... More
