Excellent service and good food. We chose the Flemish stew which was exquisite. Luckily I had reserved a table and we were shown straight to a window seat where we were able to watch the busy street while we waited for our food.

We ordered shrimp croquettes followed by steak with bearnaise sauce. The waiter was extremely helpful in recommending the right steak choice according to our cooking preferences. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Creme brûlée and chocolate mousse for dessert, old favourites but among the best I've eaten. I would highly recommend this place.

The really strange thing about Brasserie Souffleur is that it was mentioned by every person we asked for a recommendation. Go figure. We went for lunch - and ended up spending almost as much as we usually spend for a full dinner - 80 euros for 4, no drinks except for a bottle of sparkling water. The food was not... More

Honest price for great food! Not always easy to find good food for a fair price in a tourist city. Friendly staff (multilingual)

The place is nice but the menu is full of bad tricks. For example if you order a Foie Gras they serve you a simple pate of foie. And on top of that, if you don’t accept it and don’t eat it, they refuse to credit it on you bill. And you will have to pay for it even if... More

Be careful with the description on the menu. The descriptions are very nice but the food are not what you expect. Specially the foie gras which is a simple pate and also with the desserts. And on top of that the tenant is quite aggressive if you complain about anything.

Everywhere we tried to go was busy so when Souffleur could seat us we jumped at the chance, but was not disappointed! The food was stunning, beautiful presentation, quality - better than some Michelin places I've been to. The only downside was that there were only 2 waiting staff and it was busy so service was a bit hit/miss. Another... More

We visited on New Years Eve having booked and chosen our orders well in advance as advised by the charming management. What a wonderful evening! My beef carpaccio starter was delicious and a very generous portion. However the main course of sole was even better. Finally I had a chocolate mousse (this is Belgium!) and a very nice Irish coffee.... More

A cold and drizzly night in December. One night in Bruges and no reservations. We took a chance on this restaurant a short distance from our hotel. We were a little concerned that it was virtually empty when we arrived, but it filled up as the evening went on. And the crowd seemed to be locals, which is always a... More

My wife and I had a delicious meal at the Brasserie Souffleur. The lady who greeted us turned out to be the chef and was very pleasant. My wife had a salad – one of several on the menu – which was large and very fresh. I had the scallops with shiitake mushrooms. The mushrooms had intense flavour but the... More
