The restaurant is a good family restaurant. Relatively good menu. The chips with my steak was not good. Oil may have been to old. Regular drinks menu. Also offers craft beers. Atmosphere good with small views over Hartbeespoort Dam across from snake park and zoo.

We ate at this place many times before but it's been a while. Always formed part of our itinerary. This time, Sunday 30th April, wasn't all that good. Became very pricey. Generally everyone ask each other what their food is like and no-one was raving about theirs, let's call it edible. Best was the bread rolls. Staff efficient and reception... More

Their avocado prawn salad is a must when you visit. Whenever I feel like a salad, I come to Squires on the dam. I enjoy it. I have the same at News Cafe and Primi Piatt. The Squires' one beats them. It's also a nice place a relaxed quiet meeting.

The staff are very well trained and good even the managers, the food is great, however the prices of the food and drink are very expensive.

Squires continues to be a consistently good steak house. We have eaten here several times over the years and always enjoy our evening. The home-baked bread, top quality meat and healthy vegetable side dishes, make for a great combination. We also love the decor and extremely comfortable seating.

For a run of the mill steak house we were extremely impressed with squires. Popped in for a quick meal and were met by the manager at the door. Showed to the non-smoking area and offered ice-cold beers. The food was unbelievable and at a great price. Best steak house we have been to for a long time.

Stopped here for a dessert after lunch elsewhere, for my wife's Birthday. I had chocolate mousse which was very good, and clearly original and made fresh on site (not out of a box). My wife had creme brûlée which was also high quality. The desserts were unfortunately not chilled enough, but I think that was due to high demand. We... More

If the food you receive is expensive, but the quality and taste is amazing...then I would understand. When going out one wish to get something you can't prepare at home. Overpriced and very dirty. Will definitely not go back. If you want quality rather go to Siesta.

Had better. Overpriced in relation to quality. Better options for steak in the area. Service is good but car guards are intrusive.
