We have been in this restaurant to have dinner (couple with 2 children) and we really had a good time. The restaurant is very small and cozy and it seems to be a family business. Unlike many portuguese restaurants we have been to, the waitress was very polite and the food very good. Price is reasonable for what you get.

Really nice family dinner. The portions are large (think 2 for 3 people) and delicious. The cod with cream is incredible!

we read the review and were game, but things are really tough to find in Evora. this restaurant is clearly family run and we had an outstanding experience once we got there. they are fair, most under-priced for the fare, and we would go again--given the chance!! i had lamb chops that would have been at least $35 more, outside... Hotel staff recommended this wonderful charming restaurant to explore local cuisine prepared with a personal touch. Flavors, freshness, selections, ambiance, service, all memorable for an exceptional Evora dining experience.

This restaurant was one of the rare ones open on a slow October Monday night in Evora and was recommended by our hotel. Therefore, because it was one of the few open, the line was long and the wait about 30 minutes but worth it. It has a rustic and very local feel to it, very friendly, warm and inviting.... More

This restaurant wasv recommended by the desk in Moov hotel, which is only about a hundred yards away. We liked it so much, we returned the next night! I thought the food was very good, the house wine excellent and the service acceptable, although it is almost always crowded.I tried the Loin of Beef with coffee sauce, which I thought... More

We arrived for lunch and the server (owner??) Wasn't pleased to see us. We were 9 and he said there was no place despite having two free large round tables. We said it was on to be placed in two separate tables as they were continuous so no big harm. He then said it would take a bit of time.... More

Arrived here around 9 pm one night and had to wait rather a long time to get a table. The restaurant was full. The interior is quite nice and staff is friendly. We found the food to be of very good quality (though a bit salty) and reasonably priced. Would go again!

We just walked in from the street on a mid week day in September 2016 without a booking. We believe booking is essential on the weekends. We had Pork and Beef dishes which were cooked to our liking and the recommended wine was excellent. This restaurant is a little out of the way but well worth the visit.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant for typical Portuguese food. It certainly didn't disappoint. We arrived around 7 pm without a reservation and were seated immediately. There was an English version of the menu and the waiters and waitresses communicated well. We had the grilled lamb chops and a steak with garlic sauce, both were delicious. With soft drinks, chips, olives... More
