A family owned and operated restaurant. When we complimented the cook, the waiter told us it was his mother. Charming small restaurant, just off the main street. Superb pig cheeks. Great wine. Lovely personal service.

Good lunch with a cosy atmosphere and very nice hosts. The suggested bacalhau was a good choice, as well as the lamb

Living abroad and returning to Portugal for holidays, "O sobreiro" offered us a genuine taste o traditional Portuguese food. Friendly service, rustic design and home made food, this restaurant, located inside the Évora medieval city walls welcome us to the genuine Portuguese life.

Excellent Portuguese cuisine, family owned and operated. The pig cheek dish is the best in Evora! Dinner for 6 people including 2 bottles red was E150 including tip, not bad!

Agree with reviews re excellent service and food. Hotel able to secure reservation. Best prices for the quality of food we encountered. Black pork cheeks were stewed in red wine and melted in my mouth.

Prices are good. But the owner with friendly was the best part of our experience. Although he couldn't speak english and we couldn't speak portuguese I really... More

This restaurant must be one of the best we have visited. Greeted by the owner then his son - we were shown first the local small plates of local fare and each dish was explained to our party of six. After choosing the mains we asked the son to choose a red wine which he did. We ordered the black... More

We had dinner at o Sobreiro. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful. The food was very typical Portugese. We had the wild boar cheeks. It was very good. We can recommend this restaurant. It is not cheap, but very authentic and not too expensive.
