The atmosphere is delightful. We had the monkfish, shrimp and clams soup for 2. Its was wonderful. The wine list and appetizers were great. Really enjoyed watching the kitchen work and the staff. Make a reservation for sure but still a couple of open tables so come anyway. Enjoy.

It came recommended by a hotelier, so you're thinking maybe there's backhanders involved here. But no. Not a bit of it. In a city of history, heritage, walls, cobbles and uneven streets to find the place was a feat. And don't even think about parking nearby. You won't. Just walk there, congratulate yourself, eat really well and wobble back. The... More

My wife and I had three meals here, having tasted three different traditional dishes from Alentejo - Lamb stew, dogfish soup and grilled lamb chops All were perfectly cooked. Simple and tasty. The deserts were also fine. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. An excellent place to have traditional Alentejo's food

It was packed but managed to find a table. For appetizers we had the local bread (pao), Alentejo sausage. It was very good and hearty. Later we shared the local specialty of arroz de marisco. The base was brothy with al dente rice and fresh shrimp, monkfish. The preparation was simple yet flavourful. The fish was very fresh and the... More

Had a quiet dinner here at a good price. The rabbit sausage was quite good as was the Monkfish stew which was full of seafood and ample enough for three persons.

Good sized restaurant for Evora, not too many people there when we ate. Attentive waitress, spoke english. We ordered the seafood dish for two. A huge platter of fish arrived cooked with onions, brocolli, potatoes and tomatoes. There were large shrimp, clams and two large pieces of grouper. The food was delicious and we almost finished it. Used the fresh bread... More

Enjoyed our traditional Portuguese meal. We were not that hungry so opted to share a starter, in this case the beans with tuna in a vinegrette, that was very good. And shared the large rice with monkfish, shrimp and clams stew. Delicious flavours in the broth. We ordered a bottle if red , which was a recommendation by the waitress ,... More

This very local restaurant down a side street was so good we went with friends two nights. The staff was helpful and friendly, and food was excellent, especially the rice and monkfish and shrimp dish. Very reasonable and good food and house wine. Worth looking for.

We had delicious black port and clams in this restaurant, which was full of locals when we went - enough of a recommendation!
