The place is simply beautiful, between the trees and the old houses of the historical Évora, and you can either eat or drink something in a relaxing atmosphere...

We saw people heading in and followed. Great courtyard space on a very pleasant September evening. Staffed by a friendly helpful young team. Service was quick and with a smile. Drinks were generous and flavoursome. Music was good and unobtrusive.. snacks were fresh and tasty.. altogether a great little 'stop in' spot on our walk around the town. Recommended

We had 2 exquisite black pork dishes that taste nearly like game in this nice shady courtyard in the heart of Evora. Do order a glass of wine with it!

We had noticed the darling arched entrance to PATEO as we were touring the town. When lunch time rolled around I could not wait to return. It is off the beaten path on a narrow side road, with the cutest tunnel like entrance. We just wanted a casual light meal and to enjoy the patio and relax. THIS WAS THE... More

The Pateo sign beckoned us up a stone walkway off the beaten path. It was time for lunch. What a great find. Patio dining with a delicious menu, friendly staff and music.

Enjoyed a great lunch here with lots to choose from on the menu and an excellent white sangria! Service was tremendous on their very comfortable outdoor patio. Highly recommend for lunch.

We were very lucky to find this calm and relaxing, tree'd area up a narrow side alley. We liked the food and friendly service so much we stayed on after snacks for dinner and then returned a second night. Spoiled somewhat by the scourge of cigarette smoke but so are all outside eating areas in Europe.

The entrance to this place is a cute photo spot, but it does not make justice to the cozy and refreshing patio we find when going in. We were there in the middle of the afternoon for a very good cheese and smoked meat tapas along with a glass of wine. The service was excellent: friendly, fast and effective. The... More

For North Americans, try some of the black pork dishes, the one I had with Port wine in rizotto was very savoury. Black pork comes from a special breed of pig and warrants a certain premium as it has very delicate taste. In mid-afternoon September weekday, the place was full of young adults coming for soft drinks and coffee.
