We found this place by chance and were charmed by the friendly couple at the helm of this small restaurant. Excellent and authentic specialities cooked with love, delicious wine. Fair prices. I would definitely recommend the "Teskhinice " (not sure if that is the right word) a speciality of shrimps, bacon and mushrooms. Just wow.

A very small place a little off Main Street. Some friends had been there a few days ago and recommended it. Went in for a late lunch, were attended by the owners, could not be nicer ! Had a very nice regional cheese to start, with fantastic local bread, followed by scrambled eggs with ham and wild green asparagus, excellent... More

This is a very cozy restaurant with a regional tavern style. It's a really great spot to try the typical and delicious cuisine from Alentejo region. No doubt it is a small restaurant, but you can make a 2h/3h reservation without any problems. The staff (owner and chef) are very friendly and the food is really great. If you want... More

Ate here with my wife for a quick meal during our3 day visit to Évora. Quaint little restaurant, we were one of three tables and the atmosphere was quite friendly. You could tell the over guests were regulars as the husband and wife owners sat and talked with them. One lady stated smoking right next to us which was interesting... More

Very, very small. I traveled with a 2 year old and sadly they had no soup. The food was average. I got the feeling they treated regular clients better than new ones like my self. My meal was cooked quite in a hurry, so it lost some quality. But I did see many second timers come in, so this should... More

With only a few tables this restaurant has a cosy feel to it, the alheira, the black pork lagartos and the pigs feet are very good, and a basic meal will cost you 12eur.

We went there at a very quiet evening. So we were the only guests in this tiny restaurant. The owners were very kind and friendly. We had the fried cuttlefish and the delicious veal in mustard sauce. Yummy!! Try the house wine. We had the red and the white wine and both were very nice. With a coffee, large water... More

We only had a couple of days in Evora, but we liked this one so much we went twice. It's small, a dozen customers would be packed. The menu is short and simple, but the food is very tasty. On our first visit we were going to order two portions of soup, but the owner suggested that share one. When... More

I like this Restaurant for several reasons, is small and cosy, the owners are nice, the food is good (black pork for example!)! I suggest it for those who like typical, unpretentious restaurants!
