We used these guys to cater for a large group in a villa. 40 people. They NAILED IT. We also used the restaurant that has been renamed the burger cafe. We used mainly for breakfasts and found it to be decent, great value and very friendly. Don't be put off by their slightly odd location.

Having visited several times and recommended highly to family and friends i was gutted to find out it has been turned into yet another burger joint. I understand why they have probably done this as its an easier way of making fast cash. But to take some of the favourites off the menu that basically gave the place its own... More

Thanks for your comments Steve - it's just a pity you didn't review us before, when you liked us. You review when something 'bad' has happened. Too many places were doing the same menu as us and we fancied a change, not a question of making fast cash but a question of surviving in what is a very difficult market... More

We recently visited here for a Breakfast knowing how good it was last time. Don't be put off by the change of name, it's the same People running it, delivering the same great food. The Breakfast was superb and the Children's breakfast was well received by my son. We will return. Thanks again.

Visited during the very quiet period of early January when all the new years revellers had travelled home. The menu was small and simple - my partner had the pork chops which he loved and I had the mini mixed grill which was good for the price too. Overall the food was good but not much atmosphere and the service... More

We have always eaten at this 'eaterie' when we visit albufeira, we arrived this year to find it had changed its name to 'burger bar' we were in formed that the owner had decided to hope the name change would attract a younger clientele. My wife and i along with our two young grandsons(10&5) decided to give it a try,... More

At last!! Proof of our name change! Have tried in vain to tell this site that The Cottage has closed and re-opened as The Burger Cafe but its been 3 weeks and several emails and online forms later and we are still waiting!! We are sorry you missed some of the old favourites but the menu is a mix of... More

We went for breakfast this morning no thanks to the tout! She was very negative about both restaurants owned by same people. Complained about the menu etc etc. not at all what you'd expect from a front person. Heard her boasting that she won't be fired because she has an 'agreement' with the owners. Scruffy and miserable. All only saved... More

just wanted a snack, food came it filled us up so much we didn't eat until next day, service and food I would rate as A1. Found out it is family owned since 1998 and having had snacks and coffee here I can see why. We do recomened that you find and try this place.

We always enjoy the breakfast here. Good value big breakfast served with a proper mug of your choice of tea or coffee. Never rushed and always friendly service. Pete's leaflets are worth a read for local up to date knowledge and the home made food is excellent. Breakfast good, would avoid the afternoon value chicken kiev meal but we don't... More

Stumbled upon this quaint restaurant by chance. Great food served by nice friendly people. They even use bottled water for the children's squash. They have two for one offers that are excellent value, which also include double side orders - you can't go wrong. They can set you up with a picnic to take away - great. They menu is... More
