We have been several times now, this is one of our favourite places. It is not as far as you think from the coast, and it has a delightful atmosphere. Service is excellent as is the food - which tends to be more meat based than the coastal areas.. Portk, lamb, wild boar and so on.

Best food we had in Loule; charming family run restaurant; may be hard to get a seat during peak hours.

I have had meals here several times over the past few months and would return anytime. The food is great, authentic, full of flavour. I've tried the wild boar, the rabbit, the fish and other dishes and it's difficult to choose my favourite. The service is attentive. The setting in the countryside is great and the terrace outside is perfect!

Visited for the first time for an evening meal in October. The restaurant was a little quiet which was a shame because the food was absolutely incredible. Had excellent scrambled eggs with prawns to start, followed by Iberian pork shoulder which was utterly historic and without doubt one of the finest pork dishes I have ever tried. For pudding you... Very glad we phoned to reserve a table for Sunday lunch, all outside tables filled up with English, German and Portuguese diners, many clearly returners. Delicious prawns in ginger and mackerel also in ginger starters. Steak and crunchy topped lamb for seconds and lemon meringue pie and chocolate cake to follow. Efficient and friendly service and lots of space inside... More

You can always count on being served well here with well cooked Portuguese food. We often take guests who are in the Algarve for a short visit. They enjoy the special local dishes and the terrace with lovely views or the typically decorated Portuguese farmhouse.

Very much true Portuguese cooking , several hearty casserole type dishes with the more normal fish and steak offerings. Farmouse style deco with warm welcome from proprietor and staff. About 10 minutes outside Loule on the road towards Querenca. Well worth the drive.
