In a village on the west side of Terceira, this a great place for traditional food. Heavy on the meat, each dish was tasty and enjoyed by all. Call ahead for opening hours. We were planning on dinner and moved to lunch due to hours. Worth the trip.

We tried to get a table for dinner one night but they were all booked up so we returned a couple of days later for lunch and were very happy we did! Our waiter was so accommodating when we asked for suggestions from him he suggested he bring us a small platter of authentic Portuguese appetizers and the alcatra stew... More

We ate here as part of our jeep tour and LOVED it! We tried a variety of local flavors including wine and liquor. Everything was wonderful!

Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. We showed up unannounced for dinner (do make reservations - this place is so good that they're always booked in advance) but the staff accommodated us and managed to make us feel very welcome and special. Again - make reservations - we got lucky. The server recommended a bottle of wine to go with... More

Ti Choa has a wonderfully authentic and old-fashioned feel, as if you're eating dinner in someone's front parlor. We opted for the family-style offering, which was a huge amount of food (come hungry) divided into pork and beef dishes.

Thank you to Sophie, from Comunicair.pt for introducing us to this very special traditional restaurant, whilst we were on a jeep tour of the island. It was late afternoon and the area surrounding the restaurant was deserted. But to our amazement the restaurant was full and 'buzzing'. So a reservation is recommended. As others have said, the family run restaurant... More

Tiny restaurant in small village run by 2 sisters - one cooks and the other manages front of house. Really welcoming reception. Very traditional food - all cooked by the sisters, including the bread which is still cooked in the wood burning oven in the centre of the room. All absolutely delicious - black pudding with fresh pineapple (try it... More
