We had read good reviews of this restaurant, so decided to go there for some good local food. It was a disappointing experience. The soup of the day was ok. Both mains were served cold. The lamb chops had potential but needed a better temp. The octopus main was very plain and dominated by cold boiled potatoes. Service was minimal.... More

We went to this restaurant for lunch and the food was absolutely wonderful. We had to wait outside for 30 mins, but the wait was worth it. There is a special dish of Central Portugal called Chanfana. Do yourself a favor - If you happen to be in Coimbra, go and have Chanfana here and you will not regret it.... More

We were having a hard time to find a place to eat local food in Coimbra and luckly we found this place. It was a little hard to find through the laberynth streets of the town, but was totally worth it. The place is small but very cosy. It got packed right after we arrived. Amazing food, great home made... More

We went there with a hungry belly. We order bacalhau, lamb, and pulpo fried rice (octopus). With a bottle of local (Dao) red wine and a bottle of vino verde, the meal was perfect. The price was extremely good. Definitely a place to go in Coimbra.

I say: At least try it once on your life. Take your partner, take your friends or family, have a walk by Coimbra downtown, look for Rua das Azeiteiras and have a unique gastronomic experience.

Small, family run restaurant serving traditional Portugese food. Fellow diners were mainly Portugese, with a few tourists, and the restaurant quickly filled, with many people being turned away. With the usual bread and olives came a tasty local cheese, and all of our dishes were well prepared. The recommended wines were excellent and all very reasonably priced. The service was... More

Ze Neto was recommended by a local man we met at the barber's shop. It was full at 1:30 so we came back after half an hour and got a table. Our firstchoice bacalhau a bras was finished so we ordered one portion of feijoada to share, having seen someone else eating it. There was a word we didn't know... More

This restaurant made a few changes on its looks but the cooking remains great. This time, we ordered roasted lamb with baked potatoes and giblet rice (a classic of Ze Neto) and grilled lamb chops, Both were plenty and delicious. Price also very good. It is still a great place to enjoy real genuine portuguese food.

Best octopus with rice you can have in this world, very good wine, moderate prices, good service, maybe you will need to wait for a table, even if you come for late lunch you may need to wait.
