Must try bacalhau com nata. One of the best bacalhau of Portugal, really is! Small place with big deal!

Great traditional dishes both meat (Chanfana definitively to be tested) and fish (bacalaho, etc.). Assorted cheese is a fantastic appetizer (just ask). Family atmosphere with two very kind waiters. Good desserts and some tasty wines from Douro and Dao regions. If you like substance and good old-fashioned family restaurants that's your place.

I dined here because it was one of the few restaurants that were opened at a late hour and because it was rated 10th. Now that's when things went wrong because I expected a lot better. The staff are on an amateur stand and the food is nothing to do with a good gastronomic experience neither it gives a good... More

When entering the restaurant we didn't get a good vibe because there was a burnt oil smell in the air. Despite that fact that we quickly forgot, the staff was very friendly and we were served very quickly. The food was delicious... More

We had this restaurant recommended to us by the apartment staff. We went and arrived about 1930, making us the first in the restaurant but were quickly joined by other diners. The service was excellent and the food quality was outstanding. We had a local pork meal which was wonderful. The price was more than fair and the atmosphere quaint.... More

I had Bacalhau à Lagareiro and it was an generous and very well cooked piece of this fish. Good wines are available too.

The ambience is great and it's not too busy during my visit. And that's not a bad sign because people are actually coming and going all the time. The service is great too. However, I ordered the goat stew (Chanfana) which I saw most people buzzing about how great it is. But mine turns out to be very salty. I... More
